Hello,
This is a check for a game that would begin on/around May 5th.
I have a couple different ideas floating around in my head that I would enjoy running, but I want to see what types of games everyone else is interested in. Some of these ideas are homebrew and wouldn't take place in the traditional Pact Worlds that Paizo has set up.
Star Wars/Firefly: There's a large oppressive central government that focuses on enriching the core planets. Outer planets are relatively lawless. The PC's were part of the side that lost the last intergalactic civil war and would either start as scavengers or escaping from a prison planet/prison transport.
Prison Planet: Honestly, this could be a whole campaign in and of itself, but it would mean little to no spaceship stuff because you're in prison. This method would probably allow for more evil characters.
Dead Suns: AP's are fun. This one has been fun for my F2F group, and we could start it and see where it goes.
Scavengers/Explorers-R-Us: Either with the Starfinder Society or independently. Maybe you're trying to make a fast buck, maybe you're driven to discover, but one way or another, you will investigate that mysterious planet!
I'm open to any suggestions that anyone else might have as well. If there's enough interest, I can begin preparing over the course of the next month and open up a recruitment thread in a couple of weeks.

Knew I forgot something. This would be a PbP game.
I'll also add that I am fine with non-core races as well in any of these games, because enlightened bears are awesome.
Sounds interesting, I like the star wars/firefly type thing. Already have an idea for that one. Definitely a game with starship action

I've definitely been interested in playing Starfinder, and I have been waiting for one to start on the Paizo forums since forever!
I'm interested in either, frankly, though I heard amazing things about the ship combat since its DC revamp, so maybe less excited about the prison one?
Then again, my one and only Starfinder character is an ex-con! And I can imagine having an AP would aid the GM, so...
Interested, especially in the Star Wars/ Firefly idea.
I'd be down to play, the Star Wars/Firefly idea and the dead suns idea are equally appealing to me.
Would love to try a Starfinder game. The Star Wars/Firefly seems most interesting to me, the Prison Planet most limited (might be hard to balance casters against classes who can't get access to the weapons and tech items needed to make the most of their abilities).
I'll echo the general sentiment that seems to be showing here: I'm interested, particularly in the Star Wars/Firefly idea. The prison planet also sounds fun, but it would be a lot more limited.
Ooooh, interesting. I'd also be down for Star Wars/Firefly with a strong preference for more Firefly than SW.
Always interested in seeing more Starfinder
I've always wanted to try Starfinder, and the Star Wars/Firefly one sounds cool, so I'd be down.
I'll go ahead and start prepping Star Wars/Firefly (Title TBD) so that I can have something ready soon. Recruitment will probably begin in two or three weeks, and probably last for one or two weeks (depending on how many apply).

All of these ideas sound great, though I've personally been wanting to get into the Dead Suns (or other) AP. I have a character that I made for it specifically that has been waiting in the wings.
Many of the elements of Dead Suns could be reskinned to have more of the Star Wars/Firefly theme to it.
For me, the Star Wars/Firefly elements lie in the PC's being part of a rebellion or eventually getting caught up in challenging the overbearing empire/dictatorship/etc, having awesome adventures while skirting under the watchful eye of the government, and so on.
Re-skinning Dead Suns this way would keep the plot the same (more or less) but would change the background of NPC's and organizations such as the Starfinder Society. The Stafinder Society may become more bureaucratic and act more as artifact recovery for the government, and as players grow in notoriety, bounties may be placed on them.
Starwars/Firefly sounds interesting.
Going against an evil space empire, you say? I am pretty much always down to make a character for that sort of game!
