Primarily interested in a Dwarf or Human Paladin of Torag (either way, a blacksmith from a mountain community who heard the call of the All-Father's forge) or, a halfling rogue. My first character was one of these, but he died in our first encounter fighting spiders...would enjoy playing his son or nephew, as a well-intended scoundrel with wanderlust.

Though frankly, I'd be open to whatever is needed for group cohesion. :)

As for posting
Im back to a less chaotic schedule, so I am available most days.

It seems we have some traction and some interest - excellent!

This is a concern of mine, so I am reiterating it - I assume everyone read the OP regarding expectations, pace, etc. So all showing interest are ok and can commit to those. Correct?

Also a curiosity - would people be willing to share in how many active games they are currently in, here on the Paizo forums? I can start - I am in three, but one barely moves at all.

Only in 1 PbP on here at present, moves slowly.

In 1 elsewhere, for a grand total of 2.
I can commit to this game.

Like I've said before, Easter is upon us, but I want to keep things moving.

I have decided to take in the following 6 players for our first test-drive, so we can see how our expectations/game style align - no better way to do it than with some deadly adventuring!

Veniir
Johawn
OSW
DBH
Bombadil

Please feel free to drop into the Discussion thread, and... Discuss :)

As for the ones not 'selected' (not a big fan of the term), I will keep you as first picks in case anyone drops out, or if any of the 'selected' have changed their mind in the meantime, etc.

Thank you all for the interest!

Thanks for the invite, Obermind!

Have fun, everyone.

Liberty's Edge

Heck, if I had known you were using the Bard's Gate world, I might have jumped onto the wagon!! Have fun, fellow travellers!!!

Hey everyone, it seems we have lost one of our members even before he started, which is unfortunate. Hopefully all is well.

If anyone in this group is still interested, please drop a line within the next 24 hours, so that I do not pick someone who might have in the meantime moved on to other adventures, or lost interest.

Thanks!

Liberty's Edge

Oh, Oh...pick me!! Pick me!!...lol

Seriously, I would love to get in on this game ig that is possible. What kind of character are you needing/looking for?

Daniel here..this is a submission for the post...a dwarven cleric (to replace the Halfling cleric)

Liberty's Edge

I'm still interested

Yes, I'm still interested - I suggested before bringing a ranger to the mix :)

Interested

Interestwd

FYI: we have so far no thief in our group

An added FYI for those who have already 'submitted' characters or concepts - I am not picking characters. Creation will happen afterwards in Discussion.

What I am mostly looking for are consistent, engaged players, and a group that gels well. And that can only really be filtered through the crucible of actual play ;)

As has been said we have no one to handle trap finding and disarming. The Bard is a knowbot more than a Rogue-lite.

With a Bard & a Druid healing is somewhat covered.

Best bet for selection is to show you can handle constant posting and you aren't a social minefield. :)

I don't know if I'm too late, but I'm still interested

A rogue is something I have

Interestingly put hahaha.

Also not sure if it is relevant, but the same way I have absolutely no issues with a player leaving the game because they don't like it, or otherwise find it not a 'good fit', I also reserve myself the right to ask someone to leave if I do not find them a 'good fit'. And expect them to have no issues with it.

Liberty's Edge

OK... apologies for jumping the gun with a submission. So I guess it is up to you GM- Obermind to choose a replacement. Good luck everyone...so many people....lol

Daniel Stewart wrote:

No need for apologies Daniel ;)

The Paizo forums are not the best place for it. But you are giving me a Westmarches fever dream now...

Liberty's Edge

AH the Westmarches....I remember them well...but the area around Fairhill has lots of exciting places and things to do!!! ;-)

Looks like our player rotation is faster than the old-school days! We’ve recently lost two players and are looking to fill two spots.

If you’re interested, feel free to drop a line here.

Still interested. Let me take a look at what your current party needs.

I’m going to submit a cleric. Race & deity, undecided.

This is the alias for smiles PC.

I decided to go dwarven cleric of Cayden Cailean because…. dwarves and alcohol… what could go wrong.

Brief Background:

Algrim set off in search of some recipes to add to his catalog of Ales, Beers, and Other Brews. His journey began well as he traveled through the lands. He frequented libraries, inns, and breweries but found little to compare to the robust dwarven brews. His search continues…

Beware, Algrim, this is not Golarion, there is no Cayden or other Paizo gods.

Here the list of gods of that world

Cayden goes where he pleases.

Thanks for the heads up. It looks like Pekko god of ales and spirits fits. Or Bacchus-Dionysus, God of Wine and Madness. I’ll give it some thought.

Not unless the DM deems it so! :P

Solid. Let me know where you land at the end.

Liberty's Edge

I'm still vaguely interested in some kind of elf fighter/wizard/eldritch knight archer. Let me see if I can put something together...

Liberty's Edge

Hey Obermind, how does the no Crafting work with forced crafting Feats like the wizards scribe scroll or arcane bond?

I’ll choose Bacchus-Dionysus, God of Wine and Madness. I see this dwarf as being a little bit mad.

Do you want a full build or just ideas at this point?

Liberty's Edge

Here's my EK. Fighter 1/ Transmutation Wizard 5/ Eldritch Knight X, or however long the game goes. He's an archer an' stuff.

Elian Thorne, CN Eldritch Knight of Yenomesh:

Name: Elian Thorne
Description: Tall, pale, and carrying an air of barely-stifled frustration and impatience. This elf wears a faded scholar's coat modified with heavy leather reinforcements, clutching a well-kept shortbow, a long, curved elven blade sitting on his hip next to a pouch of simple spell components.

Elian currently has an arcane cold, which stifles his magic and prevents him from summoning his equipment from his old tower. It will pass eventually.

Backstory: Elian was a promising student in Bard's Gate until a profound, moderately destructive (they put the fire out... eventually) disagreement over magical theory got him permanently expelled from his master's tower. Luckily he was already versed in the ways of elven martial arts, since he's learned that surviving the roads and wilds requires steel as much as spells. He has taken to the road to fund his own independent research. Arlen’s thousand-gold bounty, and the promise of a recovered arcane text, is exactly the seed money he needs to start over.

Could you elaborate on the 'no crafting?' :)

I am ok with Scribe Scroll, just not before or during character creation.

OK cool, i though the no Crafting meant no Crafting period. No problems then!

@Smiles-a-lot and Crisischild: you are up.

Please feel free to join the Discussion and get discussing.
Welcome aboard!

On second thought, Crisischild I can see your availability is probably reduced, so I will retract the 'invitation'.

Thank you for having shown vague interest, good luck with your future games and see you around the boards!
