I need to learn haste or fly, will pick that up next level or something. As it is, I'm well configured for fights against humanoids, sentient creatures, creatures with weapons and creatures small enough to fall into a pit. But not huge non-sentient lizards.

And then I cast grease on Edwin so he can better resist any attempts by that dino to grab him. I also move a little closer and try to keep out of it's path in case it tramples or something.

I don't think T-Rexes actually trample, but figure that as a combatant that has no idea wtf this giant lizard is, I'd worry about being trampled.

the terrible lizard devours @leo in one bite, nearly chomping him in two before swallowing him. @Edwin steps up and cuts the creatures leg, as @ash takes flight and @forsythe fires a crossbow bolt at the creature. @Saio seems to react to leo's life link, so he seems to still be alive... for now, as she pops a wand and heals some of her damage. @Neji runs across the battlefiled, just entering into what he thinks is the reach of the lizard, his four clawed arms and lucerne hammer ready.

Alright, this thing seems pretty focused on it's stomach. Maybe I can distract it for a round...

I pull out my scroll of summon enormous monster, er, minor image and "summon" the largest bison anyone has ever seen. It's huge, it looks like it's wounded so it can't run, and it's practically dripping with delicious bison-ness. It makes that sad bison-stuck-in-the-mud noise. No self-respecting apex predator could turn this sucker down.

You quickly cut Leo out, as he still seems alive, but very tentatively. and @leo seems barely to be breathing. You quickly wash the acid from him, and Saio can focus on healing.

Ash brushes off any offer. Forsythe says she can cast infernal healing on you, that she can do three times today.

yeah so by the time you get leo out, he's probably on 73 damage, and saio has already absorbed +10 points in the two rounds after combat. so, saio has an additional 83 points of damage to recover.

I'm going to try and fly after the horses, and see if I can't round them up. If either of you ladies has an idea how to guarantee the horses return? or one of you would like to come with me, I can manage to carry one, so we don't split ourselves up too thinly. Ash said, gesturing at Piety, Temperance, and Forsythe.

Save three charges at least, i've got pearls of power and asmodeus can do the same through me, as that wand. the wand may serve us better later, and its the same as me casting it later.

Take your time, Ash will probably be at least ten minutes fetching the horses. I highly doubt there would be more than one of this powerful an apex predator in this vicinity. we're safe from the woods for the time being.

its about 4:30 in the afternoon -imprecisely- Forsythe suggests setting up camp in an hour, still within the thing's likely territory. So she and the rest can recover spells, and prepare better for the dangers in the wild.

You set up watches, pitch tents and hammocks, and set out your gear, brewing up things, darning a belt or cloak or whatever forsythe is working on. You make a fine stew from a few haunches of the thunderous lizard though you can make a fire, none of you are great at picking the wood that doesn't smoke, or keeping a dim but hot campfire stoaked, you pass the night well fed and well rested, and change your spells in the morning.

feel free to leave not-cheat sheets in your character profile =), or adjust the spells listed as prepared. Temperance, Forsythe, and whoever else she did an extended UA on, is undetectable for the new day. Its, noticably warmer in the forrest, and you stowe any winter gear you may have needed on the horses, turning them more into pack horses, and four of you leading horses while all of you walk with less of a burden.

Forsythe, would you like to use my longbow? I realized in a fight you might be better at it than I am, I was just holding on to it to have something magical to use at a range.

I tell stories, in broken common, of my previous school, in a very 17 year old way, about how I totally like this boy, but was shy and we had classes together, but this other girl who I totally do not like cause she thinks she is so much better kissed him before I could say anything. This will be often distracted with side stories about being on the swim team, rival schools, ultimate power and battles. The stories are peppered with dark tones in bubble gum language and the mysterious disappearance of the other girl and the boy who went on to sport celebrity by mysteriously shrugging off wounds.
