... to add to the core rulebook for release, which would it be?
Here I am copying the idea of dnoisette on his thread about classes but related to ancestries (or races).
All credit to dnoisette for opening a really good and positive thread that had everyone sharing their love for the game.
I am trying to do the same and hoping to have at least half the success so the developers now our ideas of what we would love to have in the game.
as for my part, this is clear,I would love to have a construct/golem/android/warforged.
I think they are very interesting for roleplay and also will have a totally especific feel about them.
What would be your choice of the first ancestry to return or appear for the first time in Pathfinder 2.0? :)

I'm assuming the planetouched (Aasimar, Tiefling etc) races will be added anyway at some point, so my vote/suggestion would be Dragonborn.
Half-Dragons have been a thing in D&D since at least 3.0 (not read into much of 1st or 2nd). I love the way 4e presented them as strong and charismatic, honour-bound warriors from a fallen land and made them front and center on the cover of PHB1. I also like that 5e kept that idea of Dragonborn rather than going back to half-dragons.

Practical side: Orcs. They're a classic and we already have feats for them because half-orc exists.
Preference side/actual vote: Elemental races (Ifrit/Oread/Sylph/WaterDudes
I much prefer them to Aasimair/Tieflings, they're the most played races in my campaign after homebrew races and core races.
Double-preference, but against the idea of the previous thread that pulled from PF1: An arcane-infused race. Just something inherently magical, without a hard planar theme.

Planetouched (aasimar/tiefling)
Would also prefer planetouched to be the +Cha race, with goblins becoming +Dex +Con race.Feels wrong for me seeing all those ubiquitous goblin paladins now, along with goblins becoming party faces in many groups.
People playing Goblin Paladins are as metagame as it gets.
When Antipaladins finally become a thing, I'm sure we'll be seeing more Goblin Antipaladins than Goblin Paladins.
