As near as I can tell there is no sunder action now.
but. by reading the hardnes rules etc..
it sounds like you can target itemselves instead. I.e. target the guy's armour or shield, which presumably is the same AC ad the guy itself.
but.. it does not actually say that anywhere I've found. which is a bit of a problem if they intend for people to be able to direct attack.
otherwise yeah its bascially just acid and 1 or 2 other abilties/spells

I would default with the able to target them at their normal AC. then its am atter of denting them enough to become "broken"
Which, honestly speaking, seems the smoothest tactic and smoother than the sunder action. This one just relies on your ability to hit and do damage. In previous P1. you could become a sunder specialized person who could break tons of things but also roll weirdly in actual attacks.
That was a corner case.. but it was a thing.
I am pretty ok with the idea of targetting items in specific. Nothing I've read says you can not.. but they don't have a blurb that I've found about damaging items when doing reflex rolls from say fireballs.
So it is kind of awkwardly up in the air..
but given the rule about acid bypassing some hardness. It means there is some way to damage items. I think it would absolutely require a rule to state that any acid damage to the person automatically hits items as well.
So the thing that makes the most sense to me is that you can target items with attacks. Just like you can target a tree or anything else.
