Wizkids Nolzur’s Marvelous Miniatures Vs Deep Cuts???

Miniatures

Liberty's Edge

As far as I can tell, Wizkids has two lines of unpainted plastic minis: Nolzur’s Marvelous Miniatures and Deep Cuts.

Anyone have experience with these?

Are both lines made from the same material?
Are they both pre primed (and if so, with the same primer)?
Are they the same scale?
How do the paint up?

I have a handful of unpainted Reaper Bones, but I’m trying to decide if I want to switch over to these instead

Thanks!!!

Both lines are preprimed and are in scale to each other. They paint up nicely however, some of the figures have excessive amounts of primer on them, obscuring detail.

They look nice, but when I go to paint them all of the detail goes away and basically looks just like one of the pre painted ones that they release. It might be different if I had my eyesight at 20, but at this point I am just going to stick with the metal reaper figs.

I like them. They're easy to paint, and so far I've not had any problems with obscured details... I really like that you get two poses of the same character in most packs.

The material and detail is better than the reaper bones minis, but the price point is higher. I'm planning to stick with Bones for monsters and NPCs, and Deep Cuts/Nolzurs for PCs.
