Mild Spoilers:
There's definitely tons of fun you can bring in from the new books, though I haven't read occult adventures super closely. The expanded fear system could be fun if you can sell your players on it, and IMO removing fear immune abilities from the equation and replacing them with just flat bonuses is a must (though make sure your players are okay with this as well!). The other immediate thing that leaps out at me would be integrating some corruptions. Catching ghoul, vampirism, and werewolf would be easy throughout the campaign, and running into deep one and lich would be plausible as well, to give your players some much needed stress about returning to social situations and fearing the monster they may one day become!
Sanity doesn't play a huge role in this, but it could be implemented as well, and at certain points could be very thematic.
Occult classes can be wedged in, as well, but that's a whole other conversation about who might get what, etc.
