So throwing spear is in reality a full body effort, but you only really need one hand free to do so. The spears in the core rule book are 2 handed weapons basic weapons that have a 20 ft ranged increment.
I believe RAW in order to throw a spear you must have your other hand free to wield the spear even to throw it. this means that you cannot have anything on your other hand even though that doesn't really make sense. Am I wrong?
I hope that this is not the case as I would like to be able to use a spear exclusively as a thrown weapon instead of a starknife, but don't want to use it as a main melee. If my rules understanding is correct however this would mean that to draw and throw me spear I must drop anything else I am holding. which is very inconvenient.
