Alright--my idea is for a former prostitute who recently survived an attempted murder, and sought refuge with the Church to protect her from future attacks. She's recently taken the vows to become a lay sister of La Basilica di Santa Maria Maddalena, and she's making a name for herself caring for the poor and sick of Venice.
Her name is Maria Bellarosa.

Unfortunately, due to RL issues I needed to shut down that particular thread. Sorry for taking so long to get back on this.

Recruiting Now Open for - Chronicles of the God Touched – A Rise of the Runelords Campaign
After a prolonged absence I am back to the boards and need to Recruit TWO new PCs for this particular game. Preference will be given for PCs in games I had to cancel. The PCs would like a Bard plus any other type of PC of the second player's choosing. I will accept PCs from my old now defunct games as well.
25 point buy (standard Paizo sliding scale)
Alignment within 1 step of your god; no evil.
Level 3
Max HP first level Roll or 1/2+1 for each level thereafter.
Starting Gold x3 for your class.
Core Races
All Paizo Classes
Traits:
Everyone gets Birthmark as their campaign trait it's normally a faith trait, but for this campaign it will count in all ways as a campaign trait. this should be reflected in their backstory, and everyone's parents/guardians/whatever should have brought them to Sandpoint because of their birthmark (at least 6 months ago, but as early as infancy if you prefer).
Everyone may pick two more traits following the normal rules. No drawbacks.
"Special".
Each PC is "God Touched" i.e. somehow mystically blessed by one of the Deities worshipped in te eCathedral at Sandpoint granting them Divine Power:
1. Each character gets to pick one domain (or subdomain) granted by their god. The available gods are: Abadar, Desna, Erastil, Gozreh, Sarenrae, or Shelyn. Their domains and subdomains can be found at the Archives of Nethys.
2. The character gains all the granted powers of that domain, as a cleric of their character level (using Wis for DCs/# of uses/etc as normal). They also gain the domain's spells as Spell-like abilities. each SLA is usable 1/day starting when their character level is double the spell level (so they gain the 1st level spell at second, the 2nd level domain spell at 4th, 3rd at 6th, etc). The caster level for these SLAs is equal to their character level and any effect tied to their casting stat (such as DCs) is based on Cha. I understand that using 2 separate stats for the powers and spells might be tough on MAD characters, but it will help mitigate against anyone trying to super-specialize one stat like some pally or oracle builds do.
Recruitment will be open until May 5th. As stated above, I will take TWO players.

Jing misses you :P I would love to finish up playing Jing, he's honestly a lot of fun. I'm not entirely sure how fun he'd be for your group but I'll make some adjustments to him on the offchance.
Edit: If I were to take a domain, it'd be Desna's Subdomain Fate.
Honestly if I could, I'd prefer to do something like Twisted Fate (Use both Curse and Fate's subdomain powers over Lucks 1st and Fate's 2nd.) just to not step on the one player who already uses Luck...but that's just me ^_^.
My DCs are gonna be GARBAGE for the Spell Like abilities but, EH.

Great, I'll add Jing to the list at the close of the Recruitment period :_0

Unfortunately Bann was a third party class for Azlant, but I might just apply with some form of Skald as an alternative.
Yep, normally I allow anything but as this was a thread that was based on another GM Recruitment I have to keep the parameters the same for new PCs to fit into this one. OK, on the Skald!

Storyteller Shadow |

Looks like a thread worth lurking on, for sure. Shame I missed that Reign of Winter Witches game. I happen to have a witch who was rolled up for a Reign of Winter game in the past and wasn't picked.
That one was fun but I had to drop it due to RL issues. I'll post up the current roster of games so people can see what remains after having to cut back my board presence...

Application for RotRL:
I will make a profile if selected, for now, I have spoilers and Myth Weaving for you.
Vand, Fated Champion Skald
There are those who stand against fate, struggling against that which life and greater powers have given or bestowed upon them. And then there are those who not only hold on to the strands of fate but grab it with both hands and soar with it, like a butterfly in the wind.
Vand has always walked into his future with no hesitation, he would meet his destiny, one foot after the other, come what may.
Born to circumstances unknown, Vand was found by the Klefflur's a family of Halflings amongst a larger Normadic tribe that made their living Southeast of Sandpoint (though North of Magnimar) by many, many miles. Desna was a popular goddess for the tribe, being constantly on the move and so seeing the clear birthmark of a butterfly on the young human they decided to take him in as one of their own.
Growing up in a Halfling family has its benefits, he grew to learn and appreciate the many virtues and loves that commonly character Halfling king. He learned to be kind and generous, to always help out others, and to believe in his own luck to guide the way. When Vand was young tales of heroes of old were the stuff of sustenance to him. He loved to hear those tales, over and over again. Eventually, he learned to tell those tales. And eventually, he wanted to live those tales.
As he grew older he couldn't help but shake an unmistakable drive to leave and set off on his own. He had always been fated for something and he would not deny that fate, indeed he would take it and run with it. Looking forward to each new day in hope for excitement and story.
Eventually, Vand left and started to roam upon his own. Each night he would gaze upon the stars and use them to guide his path. If a night lacked stars
Only recently has Vand entered the town of Sandpoint, roughly 6 months ago. On his way there the Goblin tribes in the nearby region had been giving him problems but the teller of tales, the watcher of the weave, the Fated Champion held his own in the small skirmishes that he ran into the stars have been unhelpful since then and so he has stayed. Boarding in the Rusty Dragon, drawn to the wonderful previous-adventurer Ameiko, her tales, and her delicious cooking. Here he has stayed waiting for Desna to show him the path forward.
Recently with the attack during the Swallowtail Festival Vand had left town momentarily, hoping to chase the fleeing goblins down. Though his tracking skills are not very good and he ended up being lost for a time.
In his free time, he has spent some time exploring the area and exchanging tall tales.. Staying at an Inn he has heard of the town's recent hero's and has decided to seek them out himself in order to join their quest to stop the goblins from bringing ruin to the town.
10 Minute Background (Burrowed from Lia's sheet)
Step 1: Write 5 background and concept elements that you feel are important to your image of the character.
1) Vland was found by halfling family, he has several brothers, sisters, and very loving parents who raised him like their own. They taught him many of the values of Halfling Society. To be kind, to care for others, to stick up for the small guys in society. To live each day to it's fullest and to always embrace whatever comes your way. They also taught him about Halfling Luck.
2) Wherever he came from is unknown, but Mama and Papa Flefflur found him with a strange butterfly birthmark that strongly suggests he was touched by Desna. As he grew older, the butterfly grew with him, mirroring his development and pronouncing his fate as one who would serve the greater good. In addition from an early age, he manifested some basic abilities that seemed tide to the strands of fate.
3) Vland believes in always standing up for his friends and family. He would never leave another behind.
4) Vland courts his fate/destiny like a fish in water. To him, there is nothing but pushing his life towards whatever it is that Desna had marked him for. He believes in living life to the fullest and thus wishes to work with his destiny in order to propel himself. He hopes that by embracing his destiny that life will allow becoming a Hero of great renown someday. He doesn't just want to sing about the tales of great Hero's, he wants to make his own.
5) He loves stories and songs of great nations, people, and wonders. Such things have always inspired him and pushed him to work harder towards his goals.
Step 2: List at least two goals for the character. At least one of these goals should be one that the character has, while another should be one that you, as a player, want to see developed over the course of the game.
1) Character Goal: Vand wishes to live a life of greatness that will end up in stories for years to come. He believes following and predicting the winds of fate will allow him to best realize this goal.
2) Player Goal: I wish to see Vand move forward and perhaps eventually realize there is more to life than just one battle or story after another. Or for him to fully realize his ideal as a hero of destiny. Depending on what fate brings him! I'd like to see Fate/Destiny steer him into an interesting long-term future (besides just the context of the story, though that is certainly a major part of this as well). Fated to stand against an ancient evil indeed.
Step 3: List at least two secrets about your character. One is a secret the character knows, one is a secret that involves him but that he is not actually aware of yet.
1) Character Secret:. Vand has one fear, deep down. That his life may not actually amount to anything special. That his fate, his destiny, will be that of just another adventurer. Death does not scare him but growing old into mediocrity does.
2) Hidden secret: His true parents were nothing special.
Step 4: Describe people that are tied to the character.
1) Mama and Papa Kleffur and his many bros and sissies.
2) He has a rival from his youth. A Halfling named Alonzo who was is a Bard who excels in Oratory. They love to face off, Vand's songs vs Alonzo's tales. The two love to compete (mostly friendly) whenever possible. Half-brother.
Step 5: Describe three memories, mannerisms, or quirks that your character has. They don't have to be elaborate, but they should provide some context and flavor.
1) Very confident in himself, or in his fate. Walks into each day with the hope of tomorrow and the faith that Desna will help steer his steps along the one true path as long as he goes with it.
2) A tale of ancient
3) Has a rocker sort of mentality when it comes to life, live hard today. I imagine him in another life being the sort of individual who would take the place of the Doof Warrior in Fury Road (if the Doof Warrior was even more badass and heroic, of course).
Vand was born the symbol of a butterfly, clearly marking him as touched by Desna in some fashion or another.
He has abilities granted to him from the Fate domain. Desna's inspiration gives him control over luck and his own fate.
Also obviously burrowed
"If you walk down the path that you believe is right, you cannot be wrong."
"The true adventurer goes forth aimless and uncalculating to meet and greet unknown fate."
"There is no such thing as accident; it is fate misnamed."
"You need only the will to claim what is offered you."
"Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives." (Oh snap!).
Vand dresses in the many colors that are typical of Varisians. He prefers Pinks, Violets, and Oranges.
He stands of average height, with a muscular build and some righteous dark hair and piercing blue eyes that are always looking to either the stars or the future.
He has a butterfly-shaped birthmark that covers the upper left portion of his torso, starting from about halfway up his navel to his shoulder (and taking up roughly 1/3 of the space horizontally. He always dresses to display the butterfly as much as possible. Extremely proud he is of his birthmark.

Aerin Aurora |

On a more serious note, I'd like to toss Aerin back into the ring as a submission. She's already an Oracle of Desna, so she fits nicely into your parameters.
You know me as a player and you've briefly seen Aerin in action. She's primarily a healer type, but she does pretty well as a support caster and a support frontliner. She has woodsy skills and social skills. She'll fit into just about any party roll that is needed, or can supplement someone else.
Due to my own time constraints I'm not going to level her up unless she gets picked. Hope that isn't a deal breaker.

Storyteller Shadow |

OK, the submissions so far:
Ramin Sang - (Noral) Aasimar Cleric (Herald Caller) Ramin Sang,
Jing the Bandit - (Jing the Bandit) Catfolk Bard (Arcane Healer Thundercaller) (See Crunch above),
Uldar Unstown - (RobL8675309) Halfling Bard (Arrowsong Minstrel) (See Avatar above),
Matrin of Shadows - (Amsheagar) Human Rogue (See Avatar above),
Sylas Shadow - (Edelsmirge) Human Rogue (Unchained) (See Avatar above),
Arkon the Thunderer - (Tharasiph) Human Druid (Saurian) (See Avatar above),
Vand - (DinosaursOnIce) Human Skald (Fated Champion) (See Avatar above),
Aerin Aurora - (Doomed Hero) Witchwolf Skinwalker (Spirit Guide Lunar) Oracle (See Avatar above).
Recruitment Closes Tonight at Midnight.

Storyteller Shadow |

After much consideration and the thoughts of my current PCs, those who will be joining the group are:
Uldar Unstown - (RobL8675309) Halfling Bard (Arrowsong Minstrel) & Matrin of Shadows - (Amsheagar) Human Rogue - please report to the Discussion thread. I will write you both into the game probably tomorrow night.
I may have some new Recruitments lined up soon for so keep an eye on this page, thank you all very much for your thoughtful submissions!

RECRUITMENT OPEN FOR ILL MET IN KARTAKASS - A 5E RAVENLOFT CAMPAIGN
6th Level
Stat Generation: 4d6 drop lowest 6 times, if you roll appallingly you can do 27 point buy as per the PHB.
Races: Let's keep it basic, the residents of Ravenloft are a superstitious bunch, they don't like their monsters right up in their faces...
Feats and Variant Humans are both allowed.
Setting: The Domain of Kartakass (for now)
Gear: As a 6th level character.
Background: You can be a Ravenloft Native OR a resident of any other world who wandered in through the mists. I will take 2 PCs but one should be a native Kartakan.
Firearms:
Renaissance Firearms & explosives are available, but rare, and are treated as Martial Ranged Weapons, stats in the DMG p268. Note that when you run out of ammmo it may be some time before you can re-up your supply so be prudent.
Recruitment will close June 9th.

KingHotTrash |

I am running a Curse of Strahd game in R/L, so I'd love to get in on some Ravenloft goodness.
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 1) = 15 = 14
4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 1) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 5, 6) = 19 = 15
4d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 3, 5) = 15 = 13
4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5, 1) = 13 = 12
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3, 4) = 17 = 14
Cannot go wrong with rolls like that. I'll look at the characters that are currently in play and will get something written up for it.
EDIT: After looking at the lineup, I think perhaps a good old fashioned cleric will do. Looking to be a Cleric of the Morninglord, if that is doable? Probably human, may be a half-elf.
