Let's say a small ship with perfect maneuverability (turn 0) and a speed of 12. I move my ship 10 hexes, since turns aren't counted against your movement, that means my small ship can turn to face to opposite direction, correct?

Answered my own question...must have been tired reading the rules.

Turns out, with perfect movement, the ship is allow two "free" turns within the hex. Makes more sense.

If a starship has perfect maneuverability (the distance between turns is 0), the ship can make two turns for each hex that it moves (allowing it to turn around a single point).

With speed 12 it should be possible to end up in the same hex facing the other direction.
