How can a lvl 1 human get dark vision?

Advice

Creating a human monk for a low lvl (1-3) game.
Is there a feat/trait/item that can give him dark vision? For items I could take rich parents to pay for it.

This guy will most likely be our scout, so seeing things would be good.

There is the Dimdweller alternate racial trait:

Blood of Shadows wrote:
Whenever characters with this trait benefit from concealment or full concealment due to darkness or dim light, they gain a +2 racial bonus on Intimidate, Perception, and Stealth checks. Humans can take this trait in place of the skilled trait, also gaining darkvision to a range of 60 feet.

There are a couple of alternate racial traits - dimdweller from blood of shadows or draconic heritage from legacy of dragons - which humans can take for darkvision. Either of them replaces the human bonus skill points. Items though will cost far more than you can afford at those levels, and I don't think feats or ordinary traits can help.

Sovereign Court

It's hard for humans. If you're willing to pay a feat for it, you might as well become a half-orc instead and just get it without difficulty.

dark vision goggles you could also try and find a +0 template that gives it and ask your dm if you can have the template

Liberty's Edge

The bloodline arcana for the Orc bloodline gives darkvision.

Liberty's Edge

Oh, human Monk. Well then I think the alternate racial traits are the only way.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

One stupid question:

Dimdweller (2 RP): Whenever characters with this trait benefit from concealment or full concealment due to darkness or dim light, they gain a +2 racial bonus on Intimidate, Perception, and Stealth checks. Humans can take this trait in place of the skilled trait, also gaining darkvision to a range of 60 feet. Source PPC:BoS

Does the "can" in the last bolded part mean that a human can either pay for this with 2 RP OR with Skilled trait?

Or is it pay with skilled trait AND 2 RP?

Don't want to pull a fast one with my GM, and unsure if adding RP will be allowed.

It's pay with the skilled trait, and they reckon it's worth 2 RP more on top of that. Which despite my dislike of the race point system I can't disagree with.

Infiltrator Ranger

Dimdweller is worth 2RP if you were manually creating a race.
If you're a human trading out for it it's just skilled that needs to go.

Wasum: This game is only going to lvl 3, and I'm doing Far Strike monk for lvl 1, and Warpriest for lvl 2 and 3 (yes, I still stick to people throwing daggers).

If I had space for more multiplayer shenanigans I would probably go for Vermin hunter and kill my scorpion companion asap.

Chess Pwn: I do like your interpretation, and the wording on this racial trait seem to be different than the "standard", which seems to be: This racial trait replaces skilled.

Which might just be because of the fact that it adds an extra feature for Human players.

The issue of why it's different is HOW it was presented in the book and I'm guessing you're using D20pfsrd which means you don't get to see it in the book.

Dimdweller was presented in the book as being an addition to the race creation rules. That's why it's listed as having 2rp.
Then in the book it also had like a full paragraph explaining how the core races could get this ability.

"Gnomes can take this trait in place of weapon familiarity."
"Halflings can take this trait in place of weapon familiarity."
"Elves can take this trait in place of weapon familiarity."

Notice how these are all replacing "weapon familiarity" and that the races all have the 2 RP version of "weapon familiarity"? Well skilled is worth 4RP, so the trade for it is a downgrade, that's why humans get the bonus darkvision which is 2RP and thematic for this trait to balance the trade.

Be a dark tapestry oracle.

"Pierce the Veil (Su): Your bond with the alien denizens of the Dark Tapestry allows you to see in even the deepest darkness. You gain darkvision 60 feet. At 11th level, you can see perfectly in darkness of any kind, even in absolute darkness or the darkness created by a deeper darkness spell."

Thank you again to everyone for the replies, I'm going Dimdweller

Just for completion's sake, I also wish to point out that from the same book as dimdweller, the Shadow Walker Rogue archetype grants Darkvision 30ft. at 1st and increases 10ft. every few levels. If you already have Darkvision, it boosts it further. And while it is in the Fetchling section, it is not Fetchling exclusive. I have a PFS Elf Shadow Walker.
