What merchandise allows for PFS rerolls?

Pathfinder Society

The current society roleplaying guide says

"As a way of rewarding players who show their support for the Pathfinder Society Organized Play campaign by purchasing and using items featuring campaign insignia, faction logos, or Pathfinder branding, a player utilizing any of the items on paizo.com/pathfindersociety/rerolls can reroll one d20 roll during the course of that scenario."

That link does not work. Is there a list somewhere else of that items grant the reroll? Or is it any official merch featuring "campaign insignia, faction logos, or Pathfinder branding"?

Huh, new stuff in the list. I've never seen the iconic t-shirts before. Gotta get a couple of those

Okay, further clarification. The page says "A player may display any of the products listed on this page and receive the following bonus: once per scenario, after you roll the dice, you can reroll 1d20 die; you must take the new result."

The faction pins are on that page, but they grant a different bonus: +1d4 to a skill associated with that faction.

If you have a pin, do you have a choice of rerolling one d20 or adding 1d4 to a skill, or are the pins considered separate at that is just a poorly laid out page?

Yes, they are separate. The pins (as long as you are wearing the faction pin for the faction of the character you are playing) grant a +1 to any skill check. If your skill check happens to be one of your faction's favored skills, you add 1d4 to that check instead.

I'm still disappointed there isn't a Grand Lodge shirt.

Ok, thanks. Someone needs to seriously fix that page.

And I take it you can't get the d20 reroll and the +1d4 to a skill in the same module if you have both, right? Only one or the other?

Liberty's Edge 3/5

Can we get this confirmed by another staff member - while I agree with that (it was what happened when I bought the pins) the page clearly says otherwise and the tenuous statement that "it's a different heading" does not fit well with me when it comes to arguing and not letting a reroll happen.

Where's the re-rolls for PFS2?

It is a slotted promotional boon called "Promotional Vestments"

And also Hero Points.

This boon just gives you a bonus when you use a hero point reroll. Evveryone should start with 1 hero point and GM's are encouraged to award about one extra point to the table per hour.

True that.... But it is what we get for Paizo stuff in PF2.

The giving of Hero Points by GMs who have earned glyphs is not something that needs to be slotted. The player may give these out when boons are slotted and no player may benefit from more than 2 of these Hero Points. The player may not keep the Hero Point for themselves.

The promotional vestments can be slotted when the player is wearing a t-shirt that promotes PFS and Paizo. This allows the player to gain a +1 on the roll that uses a Hero Point to reroll.

PFS2e Guide wrote:

Promotional Vestments {type:promotional}

Prerequisites: Player is wearing clothing that promotes Pathfinder Society, such as a volunteer shirt, a shirt for a Pathfinder Lodge, or Pathfinder-themed cosplay
Cost: 0 Fame
Effect: When you use a Hero Point to reroll a check, add a +1 cirumstance bonus to the reroll.
Special: A PC can only slot one promotional boon at a time.

Do note that the +1 is typed so if there is another circumstance bonus involved in the roll, the bonus from this could not be used. This is also not a one-time uses. It is usable on all Hero Point rerolls.

4/5 ****

At least in PF1 circumstance bonuses stacked (as long as from different circumstances) Not sure in PF2

So GMs from PFS 1 don't add their stars?

Nope. Only 2e stars earned.

2e uses Glyphs, not Stars.

Just like Starfinder rerolls don't add Stars from PFS1e.

Also, I dont believe Glyphs add their rating to a reroll from hero points. This is available from the promotional item boon. Glyphs give two bonuses:

1. You get to hand out extra hero points at the start
2. They give you a replay

Yeah, that is right. That is different from 1e where we could add our Stars to the reroll.
