Impressive Find Boon Question

The Honor's Echo and House of Harmonious Wisdom scenarios both have the Impressive Find boon. My Question is, Does this boon automatically trigger at 12 fame or can it be saved and chosen at any time after 12 fame?

The boon triggers as soon as you have 12 Fame (and if your character has more than one instance of it, they all trigger). If you have 12 Prestige at that time, you must immediately spend at least the excess amount, or forego any benefit. In practice, there are multiple reasons to spend 2 or 3 points before then.
