Hey folks.
In the bossfight the barbarian kicked the bucket.
When it comes to financing the raise dead, a player joining the next mission, is willing to chip in.Is this possible? I hope so, but i need to be sure.
So, people at the same table as the character death can contribute towards the raise dead at the time of the scenario's end. Unfortunately, however, if you do not raise a character by the time chronicles are handed out, that character is permanently dead. All conditions, including death, must be dealt with in the session where they are incurred.

CONDITIONS, DEATH, AND EXPENDABLES
In certain cases, the events of an adventure can affect a
character even after that adventure has ended.
Conditions: Unless noted otherwise, all conditions,
including death, gained during an adventure must be
resolved before the end of the session. A condition in this
context includes an affliction, a negative effect, or an effect
that is intended to mechanically affect your character in
a negative way. If such a condition isn’t resolved by the
end of play, the character should be reported as dead and
becomes unplayable. However, a few conditions need
not be resolved by the end of play, including permanent
negative levels, ability drain that does not reduce an
ability score to 0, becoming a fallen member of a class
that requires an atonement spell to regain class features
or spellcasting abilities, and conditions that impose no
mechanical effect.
Permanent negative levels, ability drain, and non-
mechanical conditions being carried over to the next
session should be recorded on the Chronicle sheet.
It's been like this for a while. I'm not sure how far back, I'll take a look.

In Season 1 you could carry over any condition besides death. So it has changed at least once. Link
By season 4 they had the current wording. Link
Nope. Don't see that wording there (either reading or searching for it)
4 had everything carried over, except for a line that said "stuff must be cleared see chapter 5, which was supposed to mean "clear everything" but said the exact opposite. Then it was briefly "clear everything or die" until season 5 when it was "clear everything but the list or die"

Here is the wording from the first season:
At the end of a scenario, a PC may have been afflicted
with any number of possible conditions. If these
conditions are resolved before the table breaks up, then
you have nothing to worry about. However, if the player is
unable to resolve a condition before moving on the next
scenario, you will need to write the condition in the Items
Sold / Conditions Gained box and initial next to what you
wrote. Please write clearly and legibly at all times, but
it’s specifically important that you note their conditions
legibly as it could cause problems down the line. Later,
when the condition is resolved, another GM will line
through the condition noted and initial again next to the
lined out text. If the PC purchased the casting of a spell
to clear the condition, the GM will need to make sure
the player wrote that in the Items Bought / Conditions
Cleared box at the bottom of the chronicle. If another PC
cleared the condition by casting a spell, it should still be
listed in the Items Bought / Conditions Cleared box, but
with a 0 gp value and the casting character’s Pathfinder
Society # written in next to the spell’s name.

As for the second part it looks like I was looking at the season 5 guide. Too late to go back and fix that now. But the point still stands that it has been this way for a bit.
