I think last time I spoke with a GM they said alcohol is a poison so alchemy counts towards it.
That would be a GM houserule. Technically, Alcohol is considered a Drug in Pathfinder, so bonuses to saves vs Poison don't apply. Most GW will apply racial poison resistance, especially for dwarves, but this is a houserule, not actual Pathfinder rules.
As for the skill to make mundane alcohol, that would be Profession (Brewer). It's one of the example professions in the CRB. Not really a craft skill, you'd just apply your skill check and apply your earnings in beer or other alcohol. CRB has you earn your skill check result in GP per week. Untrained grants 1 silver per week.
And for the record, CRB has ale listed as 2 sp per gallon. So if you have 1 rank in Profession (Brewer) and you get a 10 on you skill check, you can "only" make 50 gallons of ale per week.

Actually according to pathfinder rules creating something is crafting not profession. Profession would be more along the lines of sailor, diplomat, or soldier.
Poisons are alchemy.
Actually thanks for pointing it out I found the passage that said drugs are alchemy.
"Drugs
Drugs are alchemical items that grant effects to those who make use of them. What sets them apart from similar items is that a drug's effects manifest as both a short term (usually beneficial) effect and an amount of ability damage. In addition, those who take drugs also risk addiction, a type of disease of varying severity depending on the type of drug used."

Generally speaking, one does not "make" beer. You perform a variety of tasks that results in yeast making beer. Profession (Brewer).
Hmmm, 3 kegs per week. More likely, your setting up a lot more than 50 gallons worth of ale. It takes about a month to finish brewing beer, according to a quick google search. I would think that 10gp is your pay for the work you put in to a much larger volume of goods.
At any rate, someone sitting down at an alchemy bench and coming away with a pint of lager 8 hours later is just daft.

I'm pretty sure you craft beer. Saying the yeast makes beer is like saying the hammer makes the sword or the magic creates the enchantment.
Rules are pretty explicit, stuff you make is craft. Yeah you could be a profession brewer but by RAW all that does is make you money the same way craft does, on a weekly basis depending on your skill rank. And I would say it gives you more insight on the business side of things to include competition.
It doesn't mean craft alchemy does not help you make beer or money. After all it is just an alchemical process.
Would you say potions are crafted? Because those give you something to drink too. Now take a drunken barbarian, if he makes his own brew to power up. That is still just craft. As you are creating an item which you consume or use.

Sorry, but craft is the art of MAKING a given type of items... including all the tasks useful to the making of said items, the arts of the armourer include not only smithing (and various tasks such as forging and shaping plates and pieces but also drawing wire and making it into rings and rivetting the rings together to make chain mail) but also cloth and leather working...
Brewing beer is most definitely a craft skill, not a profession

I will say craft-beer and it takes a week to make one gallon if u succeed the check. It is NOT a poisen because there are no stats or status changing located anywhere in the rules. Being drunk and drinking stat changes I've only seen as house rules.
Actually this is from the Game Mastery Guide. So it's totally legit RAW. I had just forgotten where exactly it was at.
"Drugs
Drugs are alchemical items that grant effects to those who make use of them. What sets them apart from similar items is that a drug's effects manifest as both a short term (usually beneficial) effect and an amount of ability damage. In addition, those who take drugs also risk addiction, a type of disease of varying severity depending on the type of drug used.
When a character takes a drug, he immediately gains the effects, an amount of ability damage, and must make a Fortitude save to resist becoming addicted to that drug (see Addiction). While the initial effect represents the physical or mind altering effects of the drug, the drain represents both its side effects and the amount of time a dose remains active in a character's body. As ability score damage heals at a rate of 1 point per day, a drug that causes 1 point of ability score damage remains in a character's system for 1 day, though some might cause greater damage and thus remain active for longer. While taking multiple doses of a drug at once rarely has any benefit, taking additional doses as the effects wear off renew those effects but increase the ability damage and potential for addiction.
Drugs can be manufactured using Craft (alchemy). The DC to make a drug is equal to its addiction DC. Rolling a natural 1 on a Craft skill check while making a drug exposes the crafter to the drug.
Drunkenness
Just like drugs, alcohol can be abused and have significant negative effects. In general, a character can consume a number of alcoholic beverages equal to 1 plus double his Constitution modifier. Drinks consumed in excess of this total cause the character to become sickened for 1 hour per drink above this maximum. Particularly exotic or strong forms of alcohol might be treated as normal drugs. Those who regularly abuse alcohol might eventually develop a moderate addiction."
Also on craft!
"A Craft skill is specifically focused on creating something. If nothing is created by the endeavor, it probably falls under the heading of a Profession skill.
Check: You can practice your trade and make a decent living, earning half your check result in gold pieces per week of dedicated work. You know how to use the tools of your trade, how to perform the craft's daily tasks, how to supervise untrained helpers, and how to handle common problems. (Untrained laborers and assistants earn an average of 1 silver piece per day.)"
And on Profession
"Like Craft, Knowledge, and Perform, Profession is actually a number of separate skills. You could have several Profession skills, each with its own ranks. While a Craft skill represents ability in creating an item, a Profession skill represents an aptitude in a vocation requiring a broader range of less specific knowledge."

wonder if you need Knowledge Law to supplement Profession Lawyer, as that profession requires a lot of highly specific knowledge (specific laws and edicts, precedent from various courts etc) in addition to the procedures and whatnot that would be directly covered by the profession skill... of course, high charisma and maxed out diplomacy are also useful.

You don't need Knowledge (local) to answer questions about specific laws if you have Profession (lawyer/barrister).
You can earn half your Profession check result in gold pieces per week of dedicated work. You know how to use the tools of your trade, how to perform the profession's daily tasks, how to supervise helpers, and how to handle common problems. You can also answer questions about your Profession. Basic questions are DC 10, while more complex questions are DC 15 or higher.
"What are the laws relevant to my case" is certainly a question about the profession of being a lawyer.
Knowledge (local) would still be useful if you want to know about particular people, legends, humanoid races, cultures, or traditions that aren't actually laws.
@OP - My drunken monk / alchemist uses Craft (alchemy) to make booze. We're stretching the rules a bit but it works fine.

Sure. Screw profession (farmer) just take craft (food)
bug that, farmer is not only a craft (produce) skill, in involves rather extensive knowledge about weather, its prediction and effects, what kinds of soils and climates are good for what crops, what plants make good cattle fodder and what are toxic... ergo, it's indeed a profession skill, not just a craft.

I mean, historically beer (or things like it) was so popular not only for the effects of the alcohol, but because it was safer to drink than the water in a lot of cases.
