Magical items for a Magus?

Hey,

What sort of enchanted item/artefact would a Magus get a lot out of? I'm DMing one, and at some point, I'll need to reward him with something cool.

Something that's also great for roleplay, and specific to that odd class.

A badass sword always makes their eyes shine.

Scarab Sages

A weapon, pearls of power for more spells, or perhaps a metamagic rod.

What every Martial want. The Big 6.
And then some pearls of power on top.

A ring of Arcane Mastery is the only Magus-specific item as far as I know. Not obvious how it would relate to RP unless maybe you inscribe it with "Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die".

If the player is not playing a black blade Magus an intelligent sword might be useful; RP is almost guaranteed.

A Blessed Book, maybe with spells already inscribed in it could have plenty of history and utility.

Of course any of these might be too much or too little depending on how much loot is in the game and on what level the magus is. Any hints?

Spellstrike Gloves are a pretty useful Magus only item. However it's not one that's on the top of many Magi's most wanted lists.

The gloves are sort of a limited version of the Close Range arcana. Really not worth 8000gp I'd think.

There are also gloves of elvenkind, and spellguard bracers both are good for getting up close and personal while fighting.

Wish list for my magus:
Spell-storing weapon.
Ring of Arcane Mastery.
Pearls of Power.
Cloak of Displacement, Lesser.

Dark Archive

Ring of Wizardry 1 or 2. Most useful item ever for a standard Magus.
Who can say no to twice as many 1st level spells (bread and butter for nova magi).
