Samnell if you do decide to run it how would you handle clerics or would you use Goldmoon and Elistan? What about when the group splits in Winter and Spring?
The Goldmoon role would hopefully be a PC, since I think it's cooler for stuff like this to be done by PCs than by an NPC. If no one wants to play the part, which by no means has to literally be Goldmoon, then I'd probably have her along as an NPC. As I recall, and I might be wrong, Elistan is a bit player in the first adventure and shows up in the second again as a supporting character. He doesn't really need fixing since he's an NPC.
The divine spellcasting issue is a rough one. The books assume you basically play a cleric but get no spells for the first adventure except what the staff provides. If someone wants to tough that out, I'd be ok with it. Obviously this would be less of a burden to a ranger or something like that where casting isn't the main class feature.
But here's a less painful option: Once the disks are in hand, any PC can have an epiphany that allows them to convert any and all levels they then have into levels in a divine casting class. People are always talking about transformative religious experiences, right?
As for the split, and with the proviso that I haven't reread those chapters in detail yet:
I'd want the players' input on it when the time came. It would suck if I just arbitrarily stuck you with a half of the story you didn't want. The best solution is probably an even or near-even split of the extant party. Each half of the party would get some additional characters to round them out and we could run concurrently. I'd rather have players play those extra characters where possible since tagalong NPCs are a lot more stuff to keep track of on my end, but I can probably swing a fairly quiet NPC on both sides in top of any story pieces. If players wanted, I'd be open to players having one character from the original group in a split and then adding on one newcomer to help manage things, and/or the players in each split running a pair of characters side by side.
So say the Heroes of the Lance party company in Splitsville, Population: Them. I'll use the canon names for simplicity. Sturm & Tanis are buds. They share many a tender moment and longing gaze while tromping through the plains, swamp, and woods. Their players love bouncing off one another and they're both more interested in the western fork of the story than the eastern. Ditto for Raistlin and Caramon Majere, but they're more into the eastern fork.
We have a party of four (I'll be looking for 4-6 PCs if I decide to go ahead.) that splits into two parties of two. Each one needs probably two more warm bodies. Those might be former NPCs or might be original creations. The extra bodies for the Sturm & Tanis Party Train could be played by the those same players, or by the players of the Brothers Majere. The same thing works in reverse for the Brothers Majere. Each group would probably end up with some semi-prominent NPCs going along too for plot purposes, but less so for fighting.
I don't think alternating chapters would really work in a PBP because half or more of the party would be asked to set aside their main PCs to take up new PCs for a while. That's a lot like asking you to stop having fun and wait your turn, and it's likely to be a while. Stopping one half of the group cold and doing it all sequentially would be even worse.
If there's a shortage of players interested in one part of the story, then I'd skip the split entirely and just handle that stuff off-screen with the necessary handwaves.

I think Tal is happy to tough out a Cleric with no powers for a bit till we retrieve the disks.
I like the idea of the spilt with the NPC'S being played by the characters who are the mains in the opposite side quest.
I would like to play a Minotaur Wizard a charactee from Tal's Summer Flame campaign.
If you think that would not Samnell I will play a Human Knight. Would you use the 3.5 DL books or just Pathfinder material?
Thanks for looking into this, appreciate that as I run 4 campaigns on these boards plus a table top so I know it is a lot of work.

A minotaur would be pretty unusual in Abanasinia, but such a character could be someone who met and befriended one of the Solace locals during their years abroad. If that's cool with you, I'd be open to it.
I am likewise open to using 3.5 DL prestige classes and things like that. I'm pretty sure the Solamnic and Wizard of High Socrery PrCs would be fine.

I want the cleric. What I'm thinking is a half elf who is the son of a knight and a Qualanesti or Silvanesti elf. Would I have to worship Mishakel who I do love or someone else? I'd like the character to go to icewall rather than Silvanesti
You wouldn't have to worship Mishakal, though you certainly can. The front end of the religious revelations would probably remain healing-oriented, since that's so obviously divine magic and all, but the staff, disks, and so forth can be re-flavored.

Maybe we let Goldmoon in and after reading the Disks and talking with her he becomes a cleric of Paladine rather than Elistan, who I never could stand? Being half-elven he can bring the gods of light back to the elves and the Solamnics? If not, another of the gods of good would be interesting, like Kiri-Jolith coming back to the Sword Knights or even Habbakuk to the Crown. A person that neither elves or Solmanics wanted is the messenger of the gods of light?

All of those sound entirely reasonable to me.
