Minor God of "???"

Advice

Looking for some ideas for a minor god that is CN and that has the following domains and subdomains;

Chaos
Artifice (Construct and Industry Subdomain)
Community (Home Subdomain)
Travel (Trade Subdomain)

One possible idea is for one whose main focus is seeking and restoring ruined/lost castles.

I know it's not the best fit, so was looking for better options.

The problem is that you are taking subdomains - trade, home, construct, and industry - which are very aligned to law and lumping them in with chaos. I'm just not sure how to reconcile that.

I can see it. A young dirty who had yet to find his place in structured rules driven pantheons. He enjoyed his freedom too much, however all the other chaotic dieties were too spontaneous for him.
Then he came across a people who were in desperate need for their own home land. Their was so much beurocrasy in their current rullers system that outlying lands and lower class people were not given the time of day.
So for the first time this deoty picked a proffet. He was the most suitable leader in a small makeshift community. He instructed him on how to lead their people away to their own perfect land where they would no longer me under the rule of the beurocrasy. The new civilization thrived, encouraging all the most important parts of a society to thrive without beurocrasy knowing the dangers that follow it. For hundreds or however many years now they have thrived and worshipped this deity all that time.

Sorry for the spelling errors I'm on a mobile device.

Even demons have fortresses, maybe check out sources that have information on extraplanar markets that demons participate in and just add more neutral flavor

That actually sounds pretty good, sounds like it would have a lot of minority races seeking a better start and getting out from an oppressive society

Sounds like a goblin god to me.

Great God of the Sprawl
CN Minor God

With all of these things, you know what comes to mind? A hive. Not like a bug-hive, a people-hive. A city that has seen revolution, and plague, and multiple overthrows of government. The god's focus is the city itself: how a place of industry, control, and community becomes anarchy with its own rules (and the defiance thereof).

A god embodying the inherent chaos of large cities, basically.

I was thinking small city states. Each Greek city had it's own theme.
One Athens, one Sparta, ect.

Home AND travel with an addition of chaos.. sounds like a cat coincidentally I got a deeply built race that would fit, but that would mean it'd give more of a hero than a real deity, similarly to what goblins worship..and I should present the whole race first to give the whole picture. Should I or will it just be a waste of space?

Could be a god of innovation or rediscovery no matter what the cost. Continued wayward expansion to always promote a pioneering/independent attitude. Trade can also promote ever-changing dynamics/change in culture as ideas and civilizations come into conflict with each other. Such a deity may also support the destruction of old traditions and other social mores in the name of restrictionless trade, social progress, or even a Social Darinian survival of the fittest.

God of peddlers of home conveniences

See, concept first, powers second, otherwise you end up a god of door-to-door salesmen.

Not quite what you are describing, but might I recommend looking into The Traveler from Eberron?

God of Socks

You have the domain of travel, because everyone walks. You need Artifice because socks are in constant need of creation and Repair. You have the Community domain because socks like to travel in community of pairs; and you need a community to create the socks.

Lastly you have the Chaos domain, because one sock always like to get lost or hide from you when you least expect it. Or they get a Hole in them and give you cowlises. (the dark side of being a sock god ).

yap, Minor god of Socks

Looking at the list, I'm definitely getting a sense of "tries to do things but doesn't know when to stop". Chaos is allowed to have personal codes and the like - they don't have to be randomly crazy all the time - so I think this deity's chaotic nature would come across well in the sense of not quite knowing when to say something is done.

A bit of a stretch but how bout Batman/Bruce Wayne

***Goes outside the law to protect community
Chaos
Community (Home Subdomain)

***Gadgets, lots of em..***
Artifice (Construct and Industry Subdomain)

*** Along with Industry subdomain, Bruce Wayne, the money has to come from somewhere***
Travel (Trade Subdomain)

Maybe there will be something in upcoming Vigilante book to fill it out some.

The God of Annoying Relatives: Family/home, community, then chaos, and finally travel when you realize you absolutely have to get away.

Dark Archive

I would have this be a god that is also a multi-dimensional trade city. The god(and thus city) would be a huge living construct that travels through dimensions at random. The residents would worship the city and trade technology to other cultures in return for resources to continue expanding the city. Kind of a symbiotic relationship between the city-god and the people. The city would most likely have an abundance of both technological items(a'la tech guide) and magical items. You could easily stage a series of campaigns in the god-city as well, being that it is constantly travelling from place to place.

Artifice (Construct and Industry Subdomain)

Dot.

Sounds like a God for the Smaller races. Seriously, there is only so much the munchkins can take, it would be an interesting way for them to get payback... sorta like Gorum spontaneously showed up for War, This guy shows up for the little people.

Chaos and Artifice - Gnome

Community and Travel - Halfling

Maybe a hidden demi-plane that is only available for folks less than four feet tall?

Feel free to flesh this out to your humor's content. Just remember: Little People are People too!

Chaos, Community and Travel brings Romani to mind. could be the Minor God of Gypsies.
