You keep referring to the user as the 'caster' -- did you start life as a spell?
If you make your magic item out of a specific special material, please understand all the rules of that special material.
What the frunk did I just read!?

The item in question, upon being used, must provide enough XP for murderhobos to attain their next character level. Perhaps a Bindle of Vagabondage?
You're my favorite monster-in-a-can this year. If only your designer had taken this concept a little further...
More blood than Bloodborne

Your item seemed a little ho-hum.
Until that last paragraph.
SOLD!

Real-world name in your item's name.
That's a no-no.
I just saw my favorite MiaC as well.
hmm... to be strangled or be strangled. I think I'll take the one with better formatting and makes more sense for that object.

OK, you've obviously never tried wielding a polearm -- this item is not actually usable under any conditions of real-world physics.
But everything else about the item is awesome, so you still get my vote.
Wow, I was wondering when I'd get to mechanics. 2 paragraphs later. Oh there they are 1 line total above the construction reqs. Oddly versus an item I could describe in almost the exact same way.
Accidentally voted for the wrong item :(
I like this item, but it is incredibly overpowered for its level
This is my third year voting. I still don't care which of the 31 flavors of OTHERCLASS'S-abilities-in-a-Can you're selling, I ain't buying.

More blood for the blood god, also the blood god knows how to format, gahhh!

Huh. So you really hate having to keep track of all of your mundane adventuring items, eh?
Hmm, should I vote for the item that is very clearly a reference to a popular show, or the unbalanced item that contains a ton of backstory?

If epic level characters balk at the price, it is too expensive.
That has to be the most unrelated spell requirement for a magic item I've ever seen. I understand the rationale, after rereading the spell, but that's like me using clenched fist as a requirement for an item that causes its target to be stunned but doesn't use any other part of the spell effects.
Wonky, but cool item and then, you have to ruin it in the last sentence making me feel bad for liking you at first.
Two barrels, i'll keep the one drinkable.
Well, your FIRST paragraph of back-story was enough to hook the item for me.
Your SECOND Paragraph of back-story made me take a step back.
Your LAST LINE of the third Paragraph outlines your mechanics, and quite frankly... It wasn't that great.
However, In an effort to fill the "Snark" thread with more positive vibes: I have to say that FIRST paragraph was really good.
...What does that even do? Good rerolls or bad rerolls? Whatever. Nope.
"The Shoe of Magic Stuff:
When activated, this magic hat does a thing..."
I've seen a couple items like that. Is it a shoe or is it a hat? Make up your mind.
IMMA BEING DAIRDVIl! (Nope.)

It may be because of a named ability that's included, like summon monster being required for bane and defiant, or baleful polymorph for wild armor.
Shouldn't there be another table for more randomization for that?

It is likely the original crafter was also a fan of the floor wax that is also a dessert topping.

The look on my face when the negatives of an item outweigh the positives.

Horrendous template errors.
vs.
My item.
Hmmmmmm.......
All the PCs that craft undead controlling/powers items should have to Thunderdome fight all the PCs that craft superpowerful items for slaying undead.
I can't hide from all the hide!!!
I don't even know how that's supposed to work...
Obvious, but humorous, Christian allusion vs. cool item with formatting errors.
Hmmm...

Blatant real world religious allusions - beyond more general things like ANGELS ARE GOOD and DEMONS ARE BAD, always raise an eyebrow for me. It just draws me out of the game way too much.
