Okay just to make sure, Jietin and Iraldia are taking their shots to lure the enemies up the path, THEN Luca, Tsakua and Ishak attack from behind. So I should post the enemies reactions now right?
I'm waiting for the DM to roll damage for those barrels that most of the humans are standing to conveniently close to. After all our resident pyro did just blow them up.
I know right. Produce flame is one of my favorite spells in the game. People don't realize the versatility it has. Even at higher levels, its useful. You can use it to attack up to your full base attack bonus, with rapid shot and all the fun archery feats.
Not all but many. Point blank shot, rapid shot, precise shot, can all be used with any ranged touch attacks, weapon focus can be used on rays. Certain other ones as well but I would have to look them up. Its all in the wording of the feat. Rays are treated as ranged weapons, just like bows, and thrown weapons.
Well that is handy to know, didn't know those feats would work with range touch attack spells. Now I can see why produce flame can be so awesome later levels.
Well, since I didn't think of them, and since they were with the food, then I would think they're up at the campsite. The alternative is to assume I stashed them in the bushes while hiding, since Tsakua wouldn't carry a sack into a fight, and they'd be broken by now if he had. If Vin's ok with it, I'll roll for it, evens its on the plateau, odds its in the bushes.
1d6 ⇒ 5
Vin, if you have a different way you'd like to rule this, I'm fine with that. Otherwise, potions are in the bushes near me. Shouldn't be a huge problem since combat seems to be wrapping up, yes?
Yeah, rolling for it is fine with me. So the sack is stashed in the bushes.
I think in combat, it is safe to assume that any backpacks, sacks or other gear that would hinder your capabilities in a fight are dropped at the beginning of a fight and at the original location of your character UNLESS you specify where you placed your gear before combat.
Combat is going a lot quicker then I anticipated but this is good, I am definitely very pleased with the ingenuity of the group so far :) Keep it up!
Vin, I've got a question on your GMing technique (which i'm enjoying) because I've never seen fate rolls like this. Do you actually have a different scenario for each number, 1 through 100, or is it a grouping of numbers for a scenario?
So it really depends on the situation when I roll the fate dice, but I usually have more then ten different scenarios if there are things I can't decide upon. The other thing is percentages where if there are a few options, where a range is given depending on how hazardous the scenarios are. I'm always coming up with ideas and I often want to do them all, so I figured it would be the best to let the dice decide. Also helps when I want to be impartial on decisions that crop up!
So I'm curious, does everyone usually take the weekends off from paizo? I've noticed a trend that this is the case and I was just mildly curious if it's true.
The time I have to post tends to be less on the weekend. Through the week I set at a computer all day at work, and can post anytime. On the weekend I tend to be busy almost every weekend. I do try to get in at least a post a day though.
Ah I see, thanks for your reply. I'm pretty sure that must be the case for the majority of the people here. I was just mildly curious as it tends to be opposite for me on the weekends where I tend to have more time to post. I know every ones lives are different and just got to thinking about it all.
Speaking to that point, with the increase in NPC's, how do you want those interactions to go? I know i could probably carry on a good-size conversation on one of these slower weekends, but i don't want to take up more than my fair share of space on the boards.
That is a good question. We can solve it either of one or two ways.
One way is to spoiler the conversations. This way if there is going to be a good enough dialogue you want to have with one of the NPC's we can handle it in Spoilers tags. This way if people do not want to or have the time to read the entire conversation, they can just skip it. If any part of the dialogue should be read by the entire party, then we can add READ tag or something similar to it so people know which ones to read. This way if we have a back and forth of a conversation which goes 10 posts or so. People can just go right over it if they don't have the time or don't want to read any nonessential stuff.
The second way, which is less desirable, would be to have the back and forth dialogue in PM's if your worried about taking up the board. I would prefer the first portion to be honest.
And to either way, when your have the conversation you can fit multiple questions or such in one post so it's not one lining back and forth to save post count. For example.
Side conversation to Tsakua:
Dwarf man grumbled, not liking Tsakua's joke. Though he waived it to the side for now. "Back to business. We got a few things to cover you and I. First off, what are your skills and specialties? My group doesn't take kind to any kind of nobodies or slackers. We only take serious ventures into our merry band here." Dwarf man would wait on his response before continue.
"We got several positions you can fill, we got a frontline man, a hanger man, or the dirty gunner man. If you think your good enough for one of these spots, we gotta put you through the paces first. Ya hear?"
Example of an dialogue you think everyone should read, we can do this...
IMPORTANT - Side talk with Tsakua:
blah blah important stuff here blah
Do you happen to have any ideas on how we can handle this?
For myself, my posts tend to slow only when I am at work, since i have no real access to the site from there. Otherwise, whenever I am home, you can generally see one if not several posts from my end.
Well that certainly escalated. Someone go find my body, and find a druid to cast reincarnate on it. Zorgg can only become more funny if reincarnated into pretty much anything.
