Hello!
My wife and I are about to move to Findlay (NW Ohio) and are looking to find a tabletop and/or Pathfinder group. We've been tabletop gaming for a while but only recently got into Pathfinder. We aren't hardened veterans by any means, but I wouldn't call us total rookies either. Though we've only been playing for a short time, there was a stretch this Spring where we were playing with three different groups, meeting almost weekly with one or the other. This time around, we'd just like to find a group to play with consistently once or twice a month. Maybe meet up for dinner or do a potluck or something.
We've done both PFS and non-society and generally prefer non-Society, though that isn't by any means a line in the sand. We aren't min-maxers or stat junkies by any stretch and I wouldn't call us full on roleplayers either. You could say we play the characters, but we don't try to BE the characters. No costumes or accents or any of that, though we do try to give personality to our characters. I've GM'd one game and have generally scratched my PF itch lately by dreaming up a campaign, so if you'd rather just play I will happily take a stab at the big chair again. If you'd prefer running the show, I have no problems with that either.
If there's anybody out there, I'd love to hear from you!

Hello there! I really wish I had thought to search the Paizo boards for "Findlay" more than once every three years. When my wife and I moved here in 2014, there were no references to the city at all on the boards. I just searched on a whim to see if there was anything "new" and found this post. I hope it still manages to reach you, despite being so late. My wife and I live in Findlay and love Pathfinder. We've had trouble finding local players that we mesh well with (the local game store is mostly Magic the Gathering, and the Pathfinder players I've met there tend to be on the younger side). We play various RPGs with friends from college/grad school on Roll20 and Skype, but haven't had a game of Pathfinder in a few months now. If you're interested in meeting up at some point, we'd love to meet local gamers. We do have kids, and that sometimes poses an issue with gaming/scheduling, but it never hurts to try. I teach physics at the university (love your screen name by the way). I'm posting this from my real name avatar, so you can search for me in the UF directory if you want to email me. I'm terrible about keeping up with the Paizo boards, so if you get this and respond and haven't heard from me in a reasonable time, feel free to drop me an email. You can also reach me at my first name (dot) my last name (at) gmail. I offer you a belated "welcome" to town, and hope we can meet at some point. Cheers!
