I mean this message with total respect, even if I sound disgruntled. Could we please be made aware CLEARLY what ALL the Gen Con promos will be AND how to obtain them? The past two years I have had the Paizo employees at the Paizo booth lie straight to my face about not having a promo. Example: last year after waiting for over an hour of my Gen Con day in the ridiculous Paizo line and then spending over $200 on Pathfinder merchandise, I was given the promo goblin. I then asked the lady (sorry I forget her name.) running the booth if there were any other promo minis to obtain and she looked right at me and told me that the goblin was the only promo. I know that was not true because after I finished my purchase I went to the side of the booth to grab a couple goblin masks for my kids and I could see under the counter on the shelf a box of individually wrapped red colored minis, I couldn't tell if they were the Hellfire Wisp or the Demon, but I could tell they weren't the goblins. I also played several games of Pathfinder Society and the only promos the people running the prizes would acknowledge was the goblin minimate. I LOVE Pathfinder and I LOVE Paizo, who's customer service is normally unbeatable, but when you have spent THOUSANDS of dollars on a company and then they tell you there aren't any other mini promos, even though you have seen a box of them right under their nose, it is very disheartening. Would it help them be more honest if I printout my purchase history and bring it to show how much I spend on Paizo/Pathfinder products? So this year can we PLEASE have full disclosure of promos and how to get them, to avoid feeling betrayed and disgruntled by dishonesty? On a more positive note, one of Paizo's main guys at the booth who was handing out buttons, represented the normal second to none customer service we are used to. When I told him that I had gone to the Munchkin Tavern and they didn't know what I was talking about when I asked for the goblin minimate promo, he gave me his card with his cell number on it and told me if I didn't get one the next time I checked the tavern, to call him and he would make sure he found one for me. That is the amazing customer service I am used to from Paizo, not the employees that lie to me at the booth.

Those red minis you saw were most likely the demons they handed out at the Pathfinder Society special on Friday night. The only way you could get them was by playing that one slot, and NO ONE but Paizo employees knew they were coming. It was a surprise even to us VOs. So the woman didn't lie to you, there was only the one goblin promo that she could give you.

Brell,
Thank you for your feedback. I'm not sure who it was that told you there were no promos (it could have even been me!) but you are correct, we need to be more clear about the various promos released at Gen Con.
The red minis were, as Eric mentioned above, from the PFS special on Friday night. When we started the show, we had two promos at the booth, one for purchases over $50 (goblin mini) and one for purchases over $100 (minimate). We ran out of the minimate way earlier than we expected. Usually we say "while supplies last" for the promo minis and when we are out of a promo, we are out. However, having run out so much earlier than we expected, we did some scrambling and ended up using the leftover PFS Special mini (Red Slaver Demon) as a replacement for the $100+ purchase level. The Gen Con booth is pretty chaotic within the first couple days, and I don't think we ever had a break in the line of customers ready to check out. It is really hard to communicate switches and new things to everyone who might be switching shifts, going on break, and so on when it's that busy. No one wants to be the person that starts accidentally giving something away that was supposed to be reserved for a special purpose, like the Slaver Demons were originally set to be.
I am truly sorry that this confusion caused frustration for you. While the cashier was incorrect when you inquired about the promos that replaced the minimate, I know it was due to confusion on their part/Paizo's part and not out of malice or to intentionally lie to you. I appreciate you bringing this up and in the future, if something occurs where you are upset with something a Paizo employee did or did not do, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible so we can clear it up right away. I feel awful that this happened and has been bothering you for an entire year!
For Gen Con 2015, I think we can definitely make sure that the Paizo staff at the booth are more aware of our promotions and any changes that occur mid-show. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to learn and grow.
Thanks,
Sara Marie

Sara,
You, as always are the bright shining beacon of everything that is great about Paizo's customer service. I now feel like a total jerk and wish I would have addressed my concern for the clarity of this year's promos in a much kinder, less abrasive, non accusatory manor. While I do feel that better transparency of the promos and how to get them, or not be able to get them, would help both the customers and the already very busy employees of Paizo have a smoother interaction. We would know what was going on and you wouldn't have to explain it to thousands of us, one at a time. I once again offer you a thousand apologies for my harshness and a thousand thanks for being so great to all of us, even when somebody like me isn't very kind to you. Paizo is very important to my gaming life and I overreacted at the thought of it not being as trustworthy as I have always known it to be. I am sorry that you had to take time out of your very busy day to deal with somebody like me. Please forgive my rudeness and I will try to express my concerns in a more diplomatic manor in the future. Take care and stay awesome, Paizo is very lucky to have you.
