... and so one of my player's is carrying around ghoul dust in his pocket, do you think touching this stuff would/should be enough to have him roll fortitude saves?

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

By RAW, nah. I'd probably carry it in something that can be sealed, just to be safe though.

One thing you could do is make it a lesser version of Lich Dust. Hope he washes his hands before eating.

No, otherwise Grappling or using Touch spells on a ghoul would trigger saves vs Paralysis and Ghoul Fever.

Is ghoul dust addictive?

I would not open that one. It would me handing the PCs a potentially endless suply of dangerous stuff. They most likely turn to dust because they are destroyed. Pehaps give him a little bonus on dirty tricks if he throws into someones eyes, or raise the DC on the ghoul touch spell(by 1) if the wizard eats a handfull of the stuff when he cast the spell.

Ghoul Dust as an addictive substance would be interesting although a little grotesque. I also agree it would be neat if used for spells and dirty tricks.

Like what about vampire dust? Would that increase the temporary hit points a bit of Vampiric Touch? (Like 1d6+1) if a wizard ate/drank it*.
*: Like a powdered drink.

I could see the flavor text for this... "Come and get your wizard Tang"

How about incorporeal undead, do they turn to dust too?

Incorporeal dust.

The core of the planet is full of incorporeal dust that fell through the ground, compressed by gravity and heat into something horrifying.

Probably not Umbral Reaver. Rovagug probably consumed it.

I dunno. It's dust. Does this mean Rovagug is really dusty?

Make it like Red Sand from Mass Effect (scroll down a bit).

You have to snort it or shoot it, and it gives minor magical abilities for a short time.

I mean, he's been trapped in the core of Golarion since the creation of the planet (I think). So....probably.

Very very dusty. And very very angry.

Covered in the Filth of Dying Souls.

Yeah. That sounds like a heavy metal lyric. Thus, it is Rovagug approved.

There's precedent for drugs made out of corporeal undead:

You're thinking of angel dust. Very addictive indeed (angel dust, not ghoul dust).

Answer me this if you didn't rule that destroyed undead turned to dust what would be the effects of clubbing someone with a ghoul femur? or stabbing someone with a ghoul's sharpened humerus

Only if the character is abusing the dust to get high by snorting or shooting it, since ghoul fever is usually only transmitted by saliva to blood contact.

I would put it under the improvised weapon ruling, unless there would be a better game mechanic.

I'm gone for 2 days and i think this is the largest thread I've ever created. I think i'm going to make it ingested, and yes he plans on using it for dirty trick maneuver's for hilarity.
