Is there a particular inspiration to the derogatory epithet "slip"?

Lantern Lodge

So, I'm looking to build a halfling for PFS purposes who embraces the epithet and uses it as a term of endearment, much like many ethnic groups in the U.S. have co-opted once-offensive terms.

My main question is more or less, "Why "slip"?"

From one of these definitions, maybe?

Slip (noun)

a small paper form on which information is noted: a withdrawal slip.

a piece suitable for propagation cut from a plant; scion or cutting.

a young person, especially one of slender form: a mere slip of a girl.

Grand Lodge

I'd guess with Matthew's suggestions, the etymology is the third option.

Lantern Lodge

Seems quite right. Thanks.

I kinda see it as evolving from "Peck" from Willow.
