Card Feat at End of Treasure of Jemma Redclaw 0-1F

Hey guys - This may be clear, but I'm not getting it. I checked the guid and I didn't see any mention of how card feats are handled.

You handle your upgrade at the end of the scenario as is normal, but what cards do you have access to in relation to your card feat? Do you have to pull a basic item to fill the slot?

Card feats work pretty much the same way as the do in the base game. When you gain a card feat, you use a new card that has come available to fill the slot, or you use any card with the Basic trait if you do not have any cards available. In organized play, the only way you have new cards available is if you use an Upgrade.

So gain a Card Feat and either fill it with a card gained through upgrade or take a Basic card from your Class Deck.

Ok... so we can't upgrade using normal rules and then use a card feat to select a non basic card - essentially upgrade times two. That's how I played it, but I wanted to make sure I did it right.

Scenario rewards always get applied first, then deck upgrades. So whatever you take for your card feat leaves an opening in your deck, which you can then fill with your deck upgrade. If you choose a different card to upgrade than your new card feat slot, you'll add a Basic card from your Class Deck.
