Hey, everyone,

Who do I email about having lost my confirmation code? Somewhere between the last game I played (about a year ago) and now, I misplaced the card I received. I still have the player number (I had written it on the Chronicle Sheet), but not the confirmation code.

Do you know who I could email to get that back?

Stephen

Edit: By the way, I did search the forum first. I found a post that dated back to 2009. It had a name in it, which I emailed, but that person has not responded in a week, so I suspect that since then things have changed.

If you never got your player number registered to your name, at this point you may need to get a new one (using the "My Pathfinder Society" link), then request that Customer Service merge your IDs.

There is a possibility, remote but there, that the coordinator for the game you played might still have access, one way or another, to the missing information.

The place to start, for that option, would be to contact the GM for your game, and see if they were the coordinator, or knows who supplied the PFS new member cards for the event. I think it is possible to do a reverse lookup on the Paizo site using the GM's PFS number to find them, and then use their PM link to start the ball rolling.

Overall, though, it would probably be easier to do as Tony suggested, and just get a new number, and have CS merge the two.

Out of curiosity, how does merging the IDs work? I have a similar problem, having played We Be Goblins Too on Free RPG Day in 2013, but having got a new account number when I came back to PFS six months later. I still have the player number and the confirmation code, so if I got them merged would I be able to apply the credit towards any of my characters, or would I be required to make a new character with the credit I never applied?

Plerumque, I'll answer that question as soon as I know. I haven't heard back from CS yet beyond the standard "We got your note" auto-reply.

Now I face a different problem; I've played enough to level up. But Paizo still shows the char as a level 1 (because it doesn't have the other two scenarios), so I'm in a position where I probably have to /reroll a new character until something happens.

On the bright side, I'll have two characters then. And that's never bad.

So long as you have the chronicle sheets that you received when you played, the numbers on the paizo website are not really all that important. Your physical paper copies give you everything you need to prove at game time that you have played the prior scenarios.

To that end, it's a good idea to protect those. I scan mine in, but I know folks who make a photocopy of their completed chronicles so they have a backup.

The reported plays on "My Pathfinder Society" portion of the website are a nice tracking mechanism, but in 99.9% of circumstances, it won't matter at the time you are actually playing.

If you have your actual PFS number, you should be in good shape to continue playing. Obviously, if you want to connect your paizo username to that number, then the folks at Customer Service can probably help you with that.

Any news? If I want to combine the accounts, who should I contact? Should I post in the Customer Service forum?
