Being a Saturday, you get Sunday to sleep in late. Just let me know if you are interested and I will show up then.
And yeah, this is just general discussion, get to know one another, discuss our hopes and dreams, talk movies, books, etc. That kind of thing. A get to know your new neighbors thing, not a neighborhood watch meeting. :-)
It will be the same for Saturday if we have that meeting.
Of course, while us common folks are talkin' in the main hall, nothing says the leaders of various settlements can't be off in the library [with the candlestick] discussing more important stuff.

Everyone is welcome. We will not rule anyone out based on their alignment, or even their reputation from... whatever. Every settlement or nation will have an opportunity to make their own bed.
That said I think this will be more of a meet, chat and maybe toss out some possibilities for more detailed discussions to happen soon after.
Sunnfire is a generous and welcoming host. I hope people will keep that in mind, and that those who are not directly interested in one day forming part of something larger in that vicinity will enjoy the early part of the meeting and then let those of us who live in the area have some time to get to know each other a little better.

TAI time! I LOLed. The bulk of us are in east coast Australia AEST(or AEDT in summer) which is GMT+10. But I might take it to parliament to change it to TAI time because I like it better now.If we hosted another one this Saturday at 10 AM eastern [which is GMT-4], could you international folks make that one? That would be, what? 2 PM Germany and 6 PM TAI time?
Also give folks in the US who work at night a chance to talk with a real live Kabal person! :-)
Couldn't remember how many time zones Australia had, so TAI time worked best. :-)

Hey, pop in, say "hi". Threaten us with death and despair if we do not bow to your awesome might. Have an elf cookie and dwarven ale. Someone will play Darth Vader's theme as you stride arrogantly from the room after delivering your ultimatum. :-)
But no real plans are being discussed except maybe our guesses as to how the Tower Wars will "actually" work. So having another player who likes the game, stops in for a few minutes or an hour, that's fine.
We may not be able to host everyone since we are only set up for 25 people because I honestly did not expect this kind of enthusiastic respone. I thought we would get 4 or 5 people tops.
But the fact that so many people are interested, means maybe we {all the gamers] ought to see about some kind of weekly or bi-weekly get together to shoot the breeze while we wait for the Tower Wars to start.
Something we could discuss tonight.
^ Cheatle was a big help. And it was lovely to meet some of our neighbors! Any word yet on this occurring again on Saturday to accommodate TAI? I know the idea was proposed, but I don't know if it's moved beyond that stage quite yet.

10am eastern is 4pm in Germany and midnight down under. I'll be there for a while (maybe like an hour, or so), hopefully with better working technology this time. I have other commitments later-on, though. If you'd want to start an hour earlier, I wouldn't mind :-).

Fair call, there are 3 here, Eastern, central and the other one where Perth is (lovely place Perth, and on the oldest land on earth too). I think that is the same as the US? I can't quote exact numbers though I'm sure a quick search would tell me, but I think about between 60 and 70% of our population live in the eastern states.
I think I could make a Sunday catch up though I'd only be there as our ambassador of beer and wine.

Yeah, it was my first with such a large group of gamers for this game, talking, insulting Golgotha, laughing and all the rest. I think we were up around 30 or so at one point.
Doubt we will have as big a crowd on Saturday but anyone who wants to pop in can do so. No secrets given away, except maybe my cunning plan to put a huge crimp into Golgotha's Tower War plans. ***
*** Kabal wants it known that Bunibuni is acting totally on his own with his "cunning plan" and we deny all knowledge of his activities as well as all responsibility. Unless, of course, it works out brilliantly, then we were totally behind it all the time.

As expected, this wasn't as well attended but nice to meet everyone and enjoy the accents. :-)
Cheatle was nice enough to stop by for a bit and provide some information again. Some of it was a rehash of Weds' information and some of it was new to us.
There was a general idea that it was helpful and fun and that we should try to do it again, maybe the week before EE starts on Sept 15th.
Maybe we can pull something together on Friday the 5th, late at night or Saturday the 6th, early in the morning [eastern].
We'll see.
Good talking to everyone though.

Well, first,
a person who dates others purely to extract money from them, in particular a woman who strives to marry a wealthy man.
So they aren't necessarily female. We hear a lot about younger men going for the fortunes of old widows and the like.
Second, neither did I. Still up in the air, though. Shit's complicated, amiriteorwut? ;)
"Gigolo" is male-only. "Gold-digger" is gender-neutral, but our culture tends to assume "female" just like we assume "fat nerd" means "male". ;)
