Since I was out late last night for the troop committee meeting, I didn't have time to watch a Godzilla movie for the anniversary. Very sad.
Instead, I found on this animated Splinter Cell series. It's new. I remember my coworker showing me the trailer a week or two back. I've never played the games.
The series was...interesting. I'm three episodes in, and for the most part it's been a lot of shooting and fighting. Not much in the way of complex plot. We'll see how it goes. The episodes are only half-hour or so. Easy to watch.
AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
I got sucked into the project from hell here at work. Apparently the weld maps have a bunch of errors. So now we've split this Isometric drawings (all 140+ of them) between three people to go through each one and compare it to the weld log.
On the plus side, though, I finished the two HDD calcs in about half an hour.
Aaaaahhhh...I don't want lunch to end. I don't want to go back to those damnable weld maps. It's not that the job is hard. It's just REALLY F$#&ING tedious.
I slept horribly last night because of this cold (the sickness, not the weather). So, apparently, did my daughter. She often has problems. We're working on those. This time, however, it seems she may have caught the cold I have.
Poor kid. I think her mother is going to keep her home again today.
The drive to the office, while not totally horrible, was somewhat annoying at time. Allowing myself to get stuck behind overly timid drivers is my best argument against my efforts to be a more patient and calm driver.
And I have more of that tedious work they foisted upon me yesterday to look forward to. Oh joy! Plus, whatever other work I have yet to do on the other, more important projects.
Hey, though! We do have a lunch and learn today. So there's that.
The food they usually serve is either BBQ or fajitas. I'm good either way, but would prefer the BBQ.
The meeting went well last night. The AoL Cub Scouts seemed to have fun. And when each was asked who their favorite Disney Princess was (a question that always gets asked), each one said they did not have a favorite Disney Princess.
It's moments like that which fill my old heart with joy. And Disney has no one to blame but themselves.
Because despite what they and the rest of Hollywood would have you believe, any problems they have are most definitely NOT the customer's fault.
I watched more of that Splinter Cell animated show last night. I was correct in my first assessment - There seems to be no discernable story. Just a series of events and extreme violence.
I'll finish it up but wouldn't recommend it and won't watch any future episodes.
According to FB memories, it was 11 years ago that I injured my favorite finger and had to get stiches. The follow up of showing each person who asked exactly WHICH finger was fun.
Also according to FB memories, 16 years ago today I visited Houston for the first time. I did not realize at the time I would one day call the city home (kind of).
Sweet! I just saw an article that Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are both set to return to the Mummy Franchise. Hopefully, it'll turn out better than that last movie.
