Speaking of PTO, I've got to get that submitted for approval. Of course, the last time I did that, they didn't approve it until after I had taken the PTO.
I think the dog tried to snag something from the dinner table last night. I heard a noise out there, and when I went to investigate, she was laying on the floor. Usually, she'd either greet me standing, or be laying on the sofa.
Then this morning, as I was eating some toast, I noticed quite a bit of dog hair strewn across my end of the table. Suspicious. Very suspicious.
Anyway, time to finish my morning posts, then wait for more coworkers to arrive.
Well, let's hope so anyway.
I did get a good night's sleep, but only because I preempted having problems and slept out on the sofa all night. Then I had a good drive in to work. So there's that.
Also, I had Second Breakfast.
Despite the rain, it's supposed to stay warm for at least another week I think. I did see a brief report about the potential for another cold snap, but that was during the meteorological panic leading up to the more recent cold snap. There may be nothing to it.
I put in my leave for a half-day Thursday and another half-day Friday. Hopefully that'll be enough to cover the tests the cardiologist has scheduled for me.
Of course, it's still going to be a long day. We've got a scout meeting tonight. Which reminds me....I've got to get the boy started on an exercise program for his high adventure trip.
Speaking of high...
There's an event Thursday night at the high school the boy will be attending. My wife plans to bring him.
I'm still a bit sad he won't be pursuing something more STEM related.
I saw that a certain star of a certain forthcoming superhero movie stepped in it recently. It was an idiotic comment, but I cannot honestly say it surprised me. I think he will have earned any of the verbal scorn heaped upon him.
I had a good meeting with my supervisor this afternoon. He's starting to do these regular meetings with the engineers. In this first meeting, he was talking about getting to know us better. That mostly applies to the newer folks. Though I did manage to sneak in a joke about liking long walks on the beach....
Speaking of good.....
The dog has been suspiciously well-behaved the last two days. My wife thinks she's saving up the Badness for something monumental.
On my drive home, I had a chance to turn right while the folks perpendicular to us had a turn arrow. Unfortunately, the little douchenozzle in the Tesla who was just in front of me realized this and temporarily stopped just short of me being able to slip past him.
To be honest, I expected it. It's the kind of behavior I see a lot from people who drive the car du jour. I suspect someone offers classes on how to drive like a butthead.
I saw an article about a certain in-the-news billionaire possibly being part of a coalition that made a last minute bid to buy Paramount. Interesting.

Lord knows it could be cool if they could get Star Trek away from that dreck Kurtzman. I lost interest in Trek under his run, especially with those godawful films. I remember the original series, when they had such awesome writers as Robert Bloch, Theodore Sturgeon, Richard Matheson, and (of course) Harlan Ellison.
So much good writing.
Anyway...I might have another TV show to watch while I'm waiting for Newtopia. A few guys at work pointed me in the direction of a show called American Primeval.
It certainly is a wet Wednesday. The past few days the weather reports didn't have the rain starting again until tomorrow. And here it is a day early.
What a shock! The weather folk were wrong.
Anyway, the rain made the drive to the office a tad more exciting. You always get these complete and utter idiots who go 10-20 mph under the speed limit.
Still, the drive wasn't too bad. And I made it through most lights.
We had a good meeting last night with the scouts. One kid had a board of review and earned his Second Class rank. And we had a surprise Webelos visit. Just one scout this time, but one is always welcome.
The best part of the meeting last night - I was finally able to resolve a mystery. I typically take pictures of the scout handbooks when I need to enter rank advancements and merit badges into Scoutbook. When I do this, I write the name of the scout at the top of one page, so I know who it is.
I had some pictures on my phone with no name, and it was driving me mad. Finally, last night, a scout came up to me wondering why his stuff hadn't been updated in scoutbook. I compared his handbook to the pictures on my phone and the mystery was solved.
Anyway, time to go fix my timecards, then do work. After I finish my usual morning posts, anyway.

Aaaaaannndddd…..The Badness finally emerged. I knew she couldn’t keep it locked away too much longer. This time she chewed up and old Thomas the Train bowl. We’ve probably had it for 12-13 years.
It was inevitable. Like Thanos.
And I have progressed in my plan to assume a Hobbit lifestyle. The last two days I’ve had Second Breakfast.
My coworker got ahold of a can of Moxie soda. I think it's from up North. He insisted I try some, so I did. Not bad. Not as creamy as cream soda. Not as root beer ish as root beer.
