I still haven't heard back from New Mexico about my PE license, though. The young lady who takes care of these things says they tend to take a while. This is ridiculous, however. They must have one person working their entire office.
Once that's done, the firm can move forward with its license in the state. Similar to LA, they have to have an engineer with an active PE license in order for the firm to be licensed. That engineer acts as the supervising professional.

I've got to figure out what I'm going to watch for my Halloween showing tonight. Last night I was considering one of my old Universal classics but opted for starting another watch of The Haunting of Hill House.
So tonight I may continue with Hill House, which is an excellent show. I may save that and go with something like Bride of Frankenstein, Creature from the Black Lagoon, or maybe one of the Hammer movies I have.
Tomorrow night is Train to Busan.

Speaking of Hammer films....
My collection of their excellent horror movies is woefully inadequate. Although I've seen many of them, the number I own on physical media is but a handful.
I especially want to get their Mummy movie. As much as I love the original, I think the Hammer version is slightly better. With Christopher Lee's height, he makes a most impressive monster.

Well, the wife and I needed lunch, and I needed to visit the cleaners. So while we were out and about, we stopped and voted. There was some young lady in line behind us who was voting for the first time. It was amusing to see someone non-cynical participating.
Give her a few years more experience. Hopefully, she'll come to understand.

Just gave the dog her medicine.
Then there'll be the grocery store. Followed by the comic book store. Followed by picking my daughter up from art class.
After all that, I come home for lunch, and start washing loads of clothes.
Sometime this afternoon, we'll go over to Walmart. This will be a two-pronged assault. On the one hand, we'll get some more clothing for the small humans. Especially the boy. He'll need new long pants for winter. They might both need new jackets. The other, more important, half will be an adequate supply of Halloween candy.

I should probably also give some thought to dinner for tomorrow. I would prefer something that I can get a few weekday lunches out of, maybe through Thursday.
I have a few go-to meals for this. One is turkey breast tenderloins. The other is marinated and grilled chicken breasts. I should maybe try for something different this time. Perhaps a beer can chicken in the smoker?

Last week I did a pork butt in the smoker. I only eat that for one meal on Sunday, then put some in red beans. The rest of the leftovers I don't touch. This has been recent, as I'm beginning to suspect I might have an intolerance for pork.
So next time I have a doctor visit, I might mention that to him and see what he says. There's certainly something further to consider with regards to my GI system. I'm not recovering as neatly as I should, I think.

Tomorrow should be equally as busy.
I'll put up the last of my Halloween decorations. These are the ones involving a power supply. There are some lights for the tree. Orange, of course. And there's also a giant, light-up inflatable pumpkin. With a hat.
Then we might also visit the local pumpkin patch. That's something my daughter asked about. And since we need a pumpkin to carve anyway.....
And, lest we forget, there will be even more laundry.

We think the dog might have an allergy problem of some kind. So the vet got us some medicine for her to take. Gave her the first pill this morning. Now we just have to watch out for potential vomiting or diarrhea. Oh joy.
Still, there is hope. We gave the dog her flea medicine yesterday and she actually ate it all on her own. It was a damned miracle as far as I'm concerned.

One other thing I forgot....
When I go to the comic book store today, I've really got to remember to get a magazine box. That way I can put away the last few Dragon Magazines I've got on the shelf, along with a bunch of now useless Pathfinder stuff. I might even see if some of the hardcover books can fit in there.
This way I can make room on my book shelves for more worthy items. I've got several comic omnibuses that need placement.

Ugh! And not in a good way. The lock on the wife's car, which had been giving her trouble for months before she finally told me, finally went kaput today. So there were several unwelcome mini-adventures coming from that one misadventure. All of which conspired to make my day not as productive as I'd hoped it would be.

Awhile back, I made sure to count up my remaining thyroid medicine, to see when I would need to schedule another doctor appointment and get some more ordered. Apparently, that "awhile back" was further back than I had realized. I only have about 12 pills left.
So if I can get an appointment this week, it'll still be about a week or two before I would get the new supply. So I might have to let the doctor call in a smaller supply of the knock off brand. There's no guarantee the dosage will be correct (which is one reason I typically stick with the name brand), but it would at least make sure I'm covered until the actual name brand stuff arrives.
