regarding items on chronicle sheets

On a chronicle sheet is an undead bane morning star or +2 full plate - is it exact copies of these items you can buy without requisite fame requirements or can you purchase an undead bane short sword or +2 breastplate instead (the unlock is the enchantment not the form).

Likewise is there is a +3 mithril chain shirt - can one use it to unlock from fame a +3 chain shirt that is not mithril?

TIA

Alas, no - I believe you only have access to the specific item. In your example, you could only purchase an undead bane morning star or +2 full plate - no variations on the theme.

It really shouldn't matter. By the time you have THAT much cash your purchase limit should have extra zeros from your cash on hand.

There is a fame issue involved, when you start adding special materials. If I wanted an undead bane cold iron morning star +2, it sounds like the chronicle sheet would not give me access to the other stuff.

Thanks

For weapons I don't think there is. the purchase limits are RIGHT on the cost for the enchantment, so as soon as you add in the master work and weapon costs you need to go up a step, and that step is always bigger than the cost of the metal.
