It wouldn't be the first time I said something crazy that became an accidental spoiler.
Maybe the "Clock King" who died in police headquarters in season one of Gotham is the father of the "Clock King" who messes with time travel trying to fix his life. He might accidentally break into one of the timelines in The Flash.

My wife, who before I got her into these series, and the Marvel movies, wasn't much into comics, about 15 mins in goes "Well of course he's messed up, his mind is existing in the past, present and future at the same time and he was probably energy for the last thousand years."
To which my 8yr old replies "They need to give him something small to focus on in the present"
I've taught them well.

I agree with Hama. A couple episodes without Barry, showing the gang actually being competent without him would have been nice. Good to see Vibe doing his thing in the field, though.
Still, decent enough that I will watch the next episode without reservations (well, more than I usually have for this show).

the bringing him back thing did seem a bit rushed. I guess their goal is for it to follow the flash (it is named after him after all) so that is why you don't see much from the 6 months and the season starts with them bringing him back.
I feel like it was very as soon as things started getting tough well be better bring Barry back we have a guy in a samurai costume. (although that wasn't really the reason. just an excuse to bring him back.)

Yeah, I agree they rushed bringing him back. They should have had a few episodes of Wally as Flash (I though the suit fit him well), working his ass off and stepping up to fill the void.
Overall, I thought it was a lackluster episode. Samuroid was kind of lame. And it looks like we're going to get more of the Jekyll and Hyde thing with Caitlin/Killer Frost.
One of my favorite parts, however, was Joe. His talk of faith (and Jazz album collections) was nice. As always, Jesse L. Martin is a wonderful actor.

I disagree with that concept... I think if they showed the team being competent without Barry, it only shows that they don't NEED Barry. And for a show named 'the Flash' the last thing I want is for Barry to be redundant in his own show. As it is... they have spent so many years showing Barry as the underdog in... just about everything that I really can't think of reason that he has the kind of street cred he seems to that Wally couldn't have covered/
I flip flopped between liking and disliking the idea the first tiem they REALLY need him they immediately have a plan to get him... that seems lame... until they point out that Cisco has been trying to do this since the moment he was taken... Still the conincidence wasn't great.
I think the episode would have been better if they had cut out Samuraoid completely and just had Team Vibe/Kid Flash dealing with some minor threats (love their 1/3 success rate) while Cisco focused on getting Barry back. Having the 'I need real flash NOW...' was just a bit too much.

I am very very eagerly keeping my finger crossed. Imagine Batman coming in, kicking ass of everything in the room and going to Oliver like "Mr. Queen you really need to work on your technique"
Never going to happen. You don't make the guest completely show up the lead. See Supergirl/Superman fight.

The fight last season, it would have made total sense to just say that, since he was not in his right mind, his skills were affected - too much raw brute force, not enough technique. Would have taken just as much time as the explanation they went with, and wouldn't have insulted his fans.
My brother quit the show over that, because Clark is his favorite hero.
