The consensus in the office is that we have no more pressing project underway than getting the Pledge Manager to fully integrate with the new Goblinworks account system, which is a prerequisite for getting the Land Rush restarted. It doesn't seem right that we'd produce a blog with some relatively less important info with that overhang. So we're going to skip the blog for this week. We will probably do a fairly extensive update when the Pledge Manager is fully restored to service and we're hoping that will occur soon, so that update will likely be the de facto blog this week, it just won't be published today.
Thanks for everyone's continued patience!

Part of the patience comes (reciprocal) from your own (answering repeated questions) AND keeping us informed.
Thank You.

The team is working really hard on completing all the tasks for the current milestone. When they are done we will begin a short testing phase internally, and then we'll begin seeding folks into the Alpha. Until we are at that testing phase, we're not likely to talk too much about the seeding process or the timing - until then, we just don't know exactly when Alpha will start. It will be weeks, not months.

If they haven't actually reassigned H, AC, and AD, it makes sense for them to keep working on the critical stuff. I'm sure a lot of thought goes into where they put the Land Rush Settlement hexes.
Based on the description they gave of the general region for the new settlement choices, my guesses are: 04.06, and two out of 01.04, 05.01, and -02.06.

04,06 would seem to go against this:
The new hexes that were added are not within six hexes of those claimed by the first three guilds so aside from the fact that the old AD and AB are five hexes apart you won't have any neighbors you weren't expecting.
At least, I hope he meant "within six hexes as the crow flies".

Thank you, Ryan. That is just exactly what I was asking for. It's good to know where we stand, even if roughly.

so as i see it excluding borders and settlements within the 6 hexes:
13 total8 woods
2 mountains
2 plains
1 highland
my best guess is it wont be woods due to the already abundance of woods (although that guess may mostly be due to wishful thinking) that the new 3 will be 1 of each of the other 3

(Link to a quick map edit as the crow flies)
I'm hoping they do a grassland, mountain, and highland.

I think most of us would agree that your priorities are congruent with our best interests.
Speaking for myself I am interested in the game rather than a date.

If character are crows that would make sense. We do know that elevation changes make next door sites, remote! presence of NPC sites make adjacent sites not available for POI and outpost.
