Koinonia Emporou, formerly known as Pax Mercatorum, is a society of merchants, traders, and other tradesman.
Koinonia Emporou seeks to establish itself as an important arbiter in trade. Our goal is to provide a safe way point for all comers.
Ours is a guild which clearly welcomes merchants, but also welcomes those who can guard a caravan, catch a cut purse, craft trade goods or fine art, or bring the treasures of antiquity to market.
We hold the bond of a contract to be sacred, all members are expected to fulfill the terms of a contract to the best of their ability.
Although we wish to be open to a variety of players, all members are expected to be team players. This extends to our friends and allies. Should a member create unwanted friction with a neighbor or ally, they may face penalties or expulsion.
The Name Change: The reasoning behind our name change is to differentiate ourselves from Pax Aeternum. They are a much larger organization who've had a much longer claim on the Pax name.
Why Koinonia Emporou? Well, we've decided to base ourselves out of Phaeros, the capitol of The Seventh Veil. TSV uses Greek for their name, so we used Greek :) Only slightly less arbitrary that anything else we'd come up with.
Our long term goal is to control our own PoI, maybe even a settlement of our own. There is a lot of time to consider and discuss how that might work, and we are open to working with other people/companies.

I'd like to point out that Koinonia Emporou will remain largely independent from TSV. Since all companies must choose a sponsoring settlement (I believe that is still the case), it would make sense for us to choose Phaeros.
Basically we want to rent a room from TSV until we can buy a place of our own (the aforementioned PoI). They seem like nice landlords and the rent is cheap ;)

Glad to see Koinonia Emporou join us in Phaeros.
My DT is going to be a crafter and I've been thinking of having him focus exclusively on crafting and then partnering with a merchant to sale his works. So having a Company of merchants in Phaeros should make it easier to find the right person to work with.
I will be trucking for KE so lemme know if you need some valuable goods transfered safely.

I really want to say how incredibly proud I am of Koinonia Emporou and theStormWeaver for steadfastly abiding by the spirit of Ryan's Restrictions for Winners of Phase 1 of the Guild Land Rush by choosing to join Phaeros because they know that's where they want to make their home, and in so doing giving up their votes that might have been cast in the next phase of the Land Rush.
It's much more important to me to have a community where players willingly play within the clear intent of the developers than it is to have a temporary advantage. What value is it to Win the War if we Lose the Game.

I actually much prefer it be a situation in which you, as an equal partner, work side-by-side with us to make Phaeros a settlement and community worthy of our efforts. Even if you take over a local PoI, I think you can and will remain residents of Phaeros. If at some point in the future you outgrow the situation and want a place of your own, we, as friends and allies, will assist.

I bring greetings from the Keepers of the Circle. As we are already on friendly terms with TSV and have mercantile interests as well, I suspect we'll have numerous interactions with your members. KE is welcome to visit our new website (http://keepersofthecircle.guildlaunch.com/) and we have a Chancery established for discussions with other guilds when necessary. If an Ambassador role becomes appropriate, our site has options to establish this role.

There seemed to be the impression that we would become a subsidiary of TSV and I wanted to make it clear that wasn't the case.
We look forward to working with all citizens of Phaeros to make it a prosperous city and bastion of civilization and positive gameplay.
No matter what I said above, we are still committed to the Roseblood Accord and what it stands for.

TSV is not Phaeros, Phaeros is not TSV. Members of Phaeros will not necessarily be members of TSV. While we might initially have a controlling interest, our concern is setting up Phaeros in such a way that it continues to exist successfully regardless of the interests of TSV. The sustained well-being of all members and residents is equally important.
Any person or group, such as the esteemed Koinonia Emporou and TSV, that wants to be part of that effort is encouraged to be so.
The current relationship between TSV an TKE is such that we are in united in the effort described above...as well as both autonomous members of the Roseblood Accord.

Koinonia Emporou has decided to assist in the founding of Blackwood Glade. Although we still wish to remain friends with Phaeros and T7V, the federation of companies forming Blackwood Glade were willing to offer us more than Phaeros felt it could.
After all, we are merchants, and we must do what is best for our business.
