Running Specials Outside the Convention Environment

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. If so, could someone provide me a link to the answer?

I know "Specials" are written to be run as multiple table events (usually at conventions), but is there any reason I cannot run a special for my normal PFS group? Most of the players in my regular PFS group have not experienced the SPEC scenarios, and I am hoping there is a way I can run those scenarios for them.

The answer depends on a few things. First, to count as a legal PFS game, you must meet all of the rules for the special you are running. So, you must meet the minimum table requirement. Some of the specials are for convention play only at this time. Some specials are only able to be run by 4-5 star VOs.

So, if you can meet the minimum table requirement, you can run some of them as a legal PFS game. For instance, Year of the Shadow Lodge only has a 3 table requirement. I believe it has the lowest table requirement.

Okay, well with that in mind, I will talk to my VC about opportunities to help organize something.

Michael, I believe that Chris is trying to organize running the some of the Specials at either Combat Con or Neon Galaxy.

Also, in case you can get your group involved, two of the specials are scheduled to run at Conline at the end of this month, online.
