If Lamashtu ripped the beast domain from Curchanus, why doesn't she have Animal as a domain too? Or did she just rip it away from him, crush it against her forehead and toss it aside?

Because she wasn't interested in that domain, and because she likes her current domains already, and because it doesn't work that way anyway... she didn't rip a "beast domain" from Curchanus; she tore from him that area of concern and theme and influence. That's not the same as a "Domain" which has specific rules associations.

Still like the mental image of Lamashtu crushing a domain like a beer can on her forehead and tossing it aside. Probably a loud belch to punctuate the event.
