Crushing combat checks the high roll hit list.

What are some of your highest rolls to defeat a monster?

I have got Valeros paired up with Lem, and almost all of their rolls are above 20,a nd usually in the 30's to defeat monsters.

My new record was just set by Valeroes on Xanesha for 60.

Valeroes Discarded Great Sword and Blessing of gorum, lem discarded Blessing Of Lamashtu and contributed d4 +2 with his power.
Val, also has +2 strength and +3 melee.

That's 6d10 + 2d6 + 1d4 + 7 for 60 on the roll!

What are some of your top rolls? How does it scale with the number of players? With 6 players, and a bunch of blessings things could probably get out of hand.

Hm, haven't received part 2 yet, but my highest was 50 I believe. The way we play, only one card of each type can be played on a check, regardless of who plays the card (so no double blessings, basically).

Used Scorching Ray as Seoni, recharged Poog for +3, friend played Blessing of Pharasma, and Harsk helped out with his power.

3d12+1d4+2d6+9

Scarab Sages

With a bunch of players, things really can get out of hand...on the other hand, however, a lot of the time such powerhouse rolls - usually for villain and henchmen combats - are balanced out by the need to temporarily close locations so that the villain can't run (or has limited options for escaping).

It comes nowhere close to your 60 Tracker, but in a game this past weekend my Lini was able to get a check of 33 vs a Zombie Giant... the roll was something like 1d10 + 2d12 + 1d4 + 5, but it had no blessings or help from any other player... so we still found it impressive.

I managed a combat total of 77 today in a 4-character game, without rolling particularly well or working hard to get the highest possible total...

I don't know since we're lazy and we stop rolling as soon as we hit enough to finish the Monster/Barrier off.

Sometimes we leave 3 or 4 dice unused because of that (and for Seoni they're mostly d12s)

^ We do the same thing. Once we've hit the to-kill number we just sort of haphazardly toss out the rest of the dice without looking at their results.

You throw dice one at a time? Are you playing cards to affect the roll after rolling the dice, cause that's against the rules officially.

No, we don't play cards to affect the roll after rolling. We roll dice 1 at a time because that's what we have in the box and I haven't bought extra dice yet (and I haven't played an RPG yet so I don't have any dice lying around.)

Yeah, one set of dice, and sometimes you have to throw like 5d4 and 3d12 at the same time.

Oh I see. Extra dice was the second thing I bought to supplement this game. Keep forgetting it only came with one of each.
