Fix Minitures for Talisman

Miniatures

Way back in the mid 1980s, I got a board game called Talisman made by Games Workshop. It's a fantasy game where you have to work your way around three tiers, where the third leads to the end of the game.

Anyway, the game came with its own cardboard minis. I wasn't satisfied, in part because I saw the pewter minis in the local game store. I bought as many as they had for the game. A friend who was good at painting minis painted them for me.

Years later, I left my game in the hot car with the plastic bases attached and those bases melted (even up here in Michigan it gets hot enough to do that). I made the mistake of taking the plastic bases off and now they are useless.

Long story short (too late) does anyone know where I can bases for such mini's?

Did you want bases for the cardboard standups or the metal miniatures?

Cardboard:

Spiel Material sells plastic bases in small or large numbers.

Mr. Chips (bags of 1,000)

Precis Intermedia sells the same kind of bases.

While I haven't needed this type of base, I have ordered other things from from Spiel Material before and everything worked out well.

Metal:

These use standard slotted bases. Gaming stores that sell Games Workshop products are likely to have slotted bases available. Games Workshop's website sells them for $4.50 for 10.

Hope this helps.

I have 30 metal minitures.

Several years ago, when I looked for more minitures for the original Talisman game, all they had were plastic. I guess they stopped making metal ones.
