I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. The closest PFS game I have found is an hour away. There are 3 local FLGS that I know of and 1 has told me they would be open to someone running but would need a GM for it. He even asked if I was interested. I have no experience in PFS but am willing to take on this challenge in my local area. Anyone who is able to help me and possibly mentor me I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Juce734 (youtube handle as well)

You need to get in touch with the venture officers in your area. I would try the Detroit one first as he appears to be the closest to your area. Their contact info is in the back of the PFS Guide to Organzied Play. They should be able to help you with organizing events and getting acclimated to the magic that is PFS. It appears the email the Detroit VC uses is simply pfs.detroit@gmail.com
Welcome to the Society.

Juce, there are quite a few players in the Ann Arbor area. Unfortunately no one has been able to sustain a PFS campaign, but as the community grows so does that hope. I don't know what avenues you have already been down, so forgive me if I tell you something you already know.
First, the official PFS website for Michigan can be found at michiganpfs.org. There you will be able to connect with hundreds of Michigan players. The closest game to Ann Arbor occurs in Wayne, about 30 minutes east on Michigan Ave from AA. The store is called Warriors 3 Comics & Games (35613 W Michigan Ave). They have games every Wednesday night (about 3 tables) and usually at least one weekend a month. New players are always welcome, but you should go to michiganpfs.org and review the store rules regarding sign-up.
Second, if Warriors 3 doesn't work out then you still have options. About 40 minutes east on Ford Rd is Pandemonium (1858 Middlebelt Rd) in Garden City. They have two tables every Monday night. Sign up is handled through our local Warhorn site. There are also a lot of weekend games in Livonia at RIW Hobbies (29116 5 Mile Rd).
Third, if none of those locations are viable then make the mountain come to you. Find a suitable location be it a game store, library, grocery store (yes, it has been done) or restaurant. Propose a time & date and ask for a GM and players on the Michigan PFS site or on the PFS Southeast Michigan Yahoo! Group. I bet you will find a volunteer GM from the Ann Arbor area and enough players to get a game off the ground. You don't have to have a bunch of stars next to your name to organize PFS. You just have to be determined, communicate well and be flexible. Ann Arbor PFS has to start somewhere. You may be the guy who gets it off the ground. Good luck!

Thank you for the help guys. I will seek out the Michigan PFS forum and see what I can work out. I would go to the Wayne one but it would be ideal in Ann Arbor since it is closer to home for me and is an untapped market.

Also, you don't want to miss U-Con 2013 happening November 22-24 at the Marriott Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest. PFS is going to be there in a big way. Save the date!

Hey Juce734 - I'm not in Ann Arbor, but I run PFS games every Sunday in Fowlerville (would be ~45 minutes from you) at Game Links.
Hitting us up on michiganpfs.org is a great idea, too; I'll look for your post there.
I don't personally know anyone in Ann Arbor seeking a local game right now, but I'll talk to some people on US-23 and up near Brighton to see what they're doing right now.
Drop me a line if you like; glad to help :)

As Doug Miles pointed out, there are several regular venues for PFS play in the metro Detroit area and they can be found on both http://michiganpfs.org/ and http://v1.warhorn.net/detroit-metro-pfs/
I have tried several of the venues since learning about PFS at GenCon last year and have have had a lot of fun with different groups of players and GMs.
More recently a monthly game has been offered in Ypsilanti, and beginning Aug 24 there will be what we hope will become a bi-weekly offering at Get Your Game On, a game store on State Street in Ann Arbor.

Hello fellow Pathfinders!
I am a newly introduced player to PFS by way of PbPs.
I am really enjoying it, but I would also like to enter a PFS game at a table on a weekly--or biweekly--basis.
I am from Macomb County and I will be available to begin my PFS table-topping next month!
I look forward to meeting you!

Dorian, information regarding our Gameday can be found on our website here
http://michiganpfs.org/forum/10-regional-conventions/1856-michigan-pfs-game day-september-28th
It will be held at Warriors 3 in Wayne. If you are looking for games in Michigan that site and our Warhorn are the best places to go.
