Mmm. I might try Aleve then....

Next time I see it, I'll buy the Firefly boxed set.

I am. Drunk now so my answers should be fun....

Eenie meenie minee mo, which bottle of booze is next to go?

Wow...I got really drunk Friday night...it was mostly a good time. Except for a bout of gender dyphoria...

I got the most drunk I have been in a long time on Friday night. It was a great wedding..,except for a bout of gender dyphoria...

I'm sorry to hear that Selene. I hope you recover and if anything, going to weddings where you're not directly connected to the bride and groom can be... problematic.

Oh no..the bride is a great friend of mine...and the fellow she married seems to be a very nice time...the problem is all wedding make me feel lonely...and what is holding me back right now is not being able to present as I want too..,hence the gender dyphoria...

Right now the biggest thing is the...lack of support and help...and just somebody to talk about it with, oh they all accept it...but anytime I refer to it...it is like they don't want to talk about it.

Well you have my support.

Thomas Seitz wrote:

Thank you very much...I an very appreciative of it...

But I need more local support.

Well if you can find a way to invent a teleport pad or get me 50 billion dollars, I MIGHT be able to uproot myself for locality.

In any case, question:

If gnomes didn't invent marshmallows, then who might have? Also do you think there's a realm of fey made up of chocolate?

Inventing a teleport pad And 50 Billion dollatrs...you don't ask for much. ;)

It has always been in my head canon that halflings invented marshmallows...

And every plane of existence has realm made entirely of chocolate. The chocolate is the great unifier after all.

Do you realize that if she actually had 50 Billion Dollars, she could solve the issue in a more direct manner? :D

If she had 50 Billion dollars, I suspect she'd set up a foundation to help lots and lots of trans peeps.

If she had a teleport pad, she would use it to Brundlefly evil people. No wait, that's what I'd do.

Edit: Also, if she had 50 Billion dollars, I'd be hitting her up for some cash for some minor rhinoplasty and a uterus demolition (f!ck you, you sh!tty self-regenerating endometrial polyps). And probably some bigger boobs.

I'm not sure money fixes everything, but I figure my life goal in a reality that looks more like this one than the ones in my head, I get 50 billion dollars and find a way to fix stuff.

The teleporter pad thing is more of a pipe dream anyway...

Well yes it would solve a lot of things..,and I guess certain people would pretend to be supportive.

What is Brunlefly?

I think me having a teleportation pad is just as likely as the 50 billion.

So anymore questions?

Actually, going back to one that got missed. (I think it was my fault for not punctuating correctly.)

How does Soldier 5/Operative 3 work for Malcom Reynolds at the start of the Firefly series?

I can see that....

What kind of operative?

If I am asking...yes.

Actually I usually don't mind much.

Skills wise, I would say Explorer. Background wise I would say Thief.

Yeah...unfortunately they are not a lot of options currently...maybe the new book will have something that will for better.

Dear Selene,

What is your favorite thing to do when you're snowed in? What is your least favorite thing?

It is my job to make sure we don't get snowed in....and I have a willingness to drive in any condition...so I really have never been snowed in the last 15 years...

Saying I would imagine I would love reading a book...

I would dislike spending time with my sisters,..

So...any more questions for me?

Who wins this battle?

Darth Vader ..he is notherf!@#$ing space wizard after all.

Yeah space wizards are stronger than the Borg. It is known.

My question: How do you get a seven a half month old border collie/ Australian sheep dog mix from complaining? Because I'm running out of ideas myself...

How female armor actually works.
Does that work for you?

I don't know the dog or level of training...

Saying that a water gun to the face sometimes works...

Lord Fyre wrote:

Yup...

Level of training - to be figured out come Monday I think.

Also I don't feel like buying a water gun. Or even using a cleaned out squirt bottle.

Mmm...well what is the dog complaining about?

If I knew that, I wouldn't be asking, Selene.

But right now I'll settle for him not throwing up on the stairs.

But I'll have another question later.

Yeah I can see that is annoying and probably a problem that the owners need to deal with (could be diet. Etc.)

I am eagerly awaiting your question...

I am the owner...

Thomas Seitz wrote:

Oh!?!?!....ummm...

I am suddenly remembering the bit from a Pink Panther movie...'Does your dog bite?'

To be fair to my side you do digit right?

I have no idea what the do digit thing is; and also Rory isn't much for biting. Nipping to herd Galway, sure. Mostly we're hopeful that dog training school will help him.

Autocorrect...I meant dog sitting...

All and none.

I figured that since you are already dealing with some serious questions of identity, that you would have already given this some thought.

All right it is time to get deeply philosophical....

There is I believe three levels of existence...The Physical, Mental, and Spirit.

The Physical is the base level...eating, sleep, exercise, um...mating.

Mental is learning, thinking, being challenged,

The Spirit is morality, creativity, social, etc.

The meaning of existence is to balance all three.

But, where does identity lie?

Or, is that part of your gender dysphoria?

(As a cis-gender male, what you are going through is something I can understand, but not truly comprehend.)

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Ah...

I think gender identity is within all three but is strongest in spirit. You can easily(though expensively) change the physical though imperfectly...but close enough. Mentally you can fool yourself or be coerced (thanks conversion therpy...not) into thinking one way...but the spirit is a lot harder to change.

I feel...better, balanced, at peace with myself when I am feel like a woman. It helps when other people recognize this(we are social animals after all) and it hurts when they don't. I have never felt as good in my life as when I am with people who call me Selene and refer to me with female pronouns...conversely though when I have to act like a man...or worse yet with people who know but treat as a guy...it hurts worse than anything else in my life.

Okay story time...at the wedding I signed the guest register thingee as Selene...a good friend of mine who says he accepts it...but never acknowledge really signed it after me...he made a scoffing sound...reading what I wrote. That probably was a contributing factor to the gender dyphoria I felt that night...and me drinking 12 LIITs.

I think part of the reason I might be dragging my feet on presenting as a female is two fold...

1) friends who were 'accepting' might be less so as it becomes more of a reality...

2) I think presenting as female will be such a wonderful experience for me...it will make going back more of a living hell.

;_;
I'm very sad today. The source of many of my best childhood memories is gone. The Century III mall, Pittsburgh's largest indoor mall, is closed. The Borough of West Mifflin has condemned the property for being unsafe. The burst water sprinkler pipes, and the injury they caused, might have had something to do with it. The property manager has filed bankruptcy on the mall, so I guess that there wasn't any point in fixing the many problems.

Now that it's gone, I thought that I might share some of my memories of the place. When I was a Teenager in the 1980's, the entire family would spend a Saturday there. We'd blow our allowances on candy, comic books, video games in the Arcade. Even after I returned home from the Army, it was still a favorite spot.

There was a small pet store, on the stairs between the first and second floors by the JC Penny's. They used to sell birds, kittens, and puppies. Right across the landing was a Radio Shack. There was a National Record Mart. When they went out of business, a F.Y.E. took its place. I bought many of my non-Tekko-purchased anime DVDs from there. F.Y.E. moved out of the mall last year. There was a New Dimensions Comics store. They sold RPG books in addition to comics.

On the first floor, there was a Walden Books. For an introverted kid who loved to read books like me, the place was like Heaven. On the third floor, right across from the National Guard recruiting office, was the Arcade. They had Pinball Machines, Skee ball machines, Air Hockey, and Coin-op Video Games. In the food court, there was a burger place that would put cheese with bacon, or gravy on the fries. There was a large open area where Holiday events, mainly Christmas and Easter, would be held.

;_; Good bye, Century III. I'll miss you.

Is that's why you want Thomas Seitz's 50 Billion? :)
