Thanks for the game! A fun, clean run, and Barham gets to 2nd level.

I haven't spent any prestige so far, mostly worried I'll end up needing the emergency resurrection or something, but is it between scenarios that I would do that? Or could I possibly still take the Caravan vanity and roll a diplomacy day job check for this chronicle?

Yay! Thanks, Shifty. ^_^
Caravan Business(Diplomacy): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Almost considered the Thieves Guild vanity instead, but income via sleight of hand isn't precisely Kishara's style...

Yep a break is in order.
Heaps of work to finish off as we head into the Christmas-New Years period, and I have to map out 2014 at work... I also have a two week residential course in Feb that I am cramming study for – which doesn’t help.
So yeah, Bravo are having one final epic clash (they didn’t get as streaky as Alpha did) and then thats the three groups all tucked away until after Santa comes.
Not sure where to next, but will float some ideas closer to the date.

So close it almost hurts guys!
Off to Steel Panther shortly, so just updating now... so an appropriate song.

Since your taking a break, GM. Are you going to shut down this thread?
I'd set the other two game threads to inactive, hadn't thought about the discussion thread... not sure if they all link or whatever... hmm.
Yeah was a crazy end fight, luckily he rolled complete rubbish on his attacks for most of it.

To my understanding/presumption, anyone who GM'd will get the Winter GM Boon (Undine). Anyone who played will be entered in a drawing to win some type of boon. I think for every game you played, you are entered once, so for the Sanos/Rivalry/Demon PbP, you'd be entered three times Shifty.
*(My understanding at least.)

So we are confirmed that the winter boon is Undine? Going to have to make sure I'm gming at the local con next month so me and the wife can both get one to go with our Ifrits...

I am fairly positive that someone posted on another thread that they received the GM winter boon and it was Undine. I'll see if I can find where it was.
Edit: Here it is- Link

Hiyas!
The game sessions are all reported, however the VC's haven't processed the reports yet, but this is about to happen. All reports were due in by the 4th for processing on the 6th, with around 65 sessions apparently recorded. Hopefully this should mean things start popping up in the next day or two - fingers crossed eh?
A new Online Gameday is due to start soonish (end of the month?) however what has tripped me up is that my kind employer has seen fit to send me away for a couple of weeks in mid Feb (which means prior prep too) and there will be little/no internet in the Aussie outback... so at this opint I am playing it all by ear and working out what that means (but not sure its good short term).
Anyhow, GL, and may Desna smile on you all for Boon draws!

So Kishara pulled a beautiful move in her first in person scenario today, won the initiative and rolled a 25+ Diplomacy and single-handedly convinced a crew full of slavers to let us take back the kidnapped noble woman they ended up with "by mistake"... only to have a couple of psychopaths in my party decide to attack them anyway. One of them stopped in the middle of combat to begin eating his fallen opponent. >_<
She's missing her old friends... ;_;
And really finding in person games to be seriously lacking in camaraderie and true Pathfinder spirit. *sigh*

My thoughts exactly, but this is what I seem to run into with younger men (and some that should DEFINITELY know better) at the tables. My friend who has become VC for the area wants me to GM at least a monthly game (and be her lieutenant, I think), but I'm really not looking forward to it expecting more of the same.
Surely there are some things the Pathfinders would boot you out for, right? Eating a still bleeding out halfling on the docks of Absalom in full view of panicking onlookers seems like a pretty serious offense! lol!

That's when you invoke the GM Finger of Death and have a random object destroy the offender!!
"The gods are dismayed by your blatant disregard of their teachings. You are turned into a pillar of salt."
"What's that bright spot in the sky? It's getting bigger...it's headed right for us! OMG's...it's a micro-meteorite that hits X and leaves a smoking crater where he once stood."
"A lucky shot from the slavers hits you in the knee and knocks you unconscious. You are captured and hauled away to be tortured, broken, and sold. Goodbye!"
=)

I have to say, I have come across some clownish activity, but most of it was knocked on the head with a "Mate, seriously?".
When you say younger men I assume you mean 12 year old kids, because an adult carrying on like that probably needs to get a bit of a grip. As a GM feel free to say "Ummmmm, no, that's probably not a good look, are you sure you really want to do that?" - unless there's some really funky RP etc, its possibly an alignment infraction too.
As a player I suppose I would be a lot less diplomatic if they didn't get the first hint, I can get really direct. :p

Kishara, I would say that that is an evil act and would give them a warning as GM. IF they were Dhampir, I would possibly make an exception, but only if they tried to hide it. In plain sight? That is where the term Murder Hobos comes from.
That said, I think you will find that a lot of season 5 mods won't allow for such behavior and will in fact punish you for being a putz like that. Heck, run that group through The Disappeared (S4) or Library of the Lion (S5) and I believe that will be the end of it for them.
We have a local person who ALWAYS worships Lamashtu. I'm still not sure why the Pathfinders would allow her around because I would just prefer to slay her characters on principle on MOST of my characters.

It was a young man of about 14 who pulled the eating trick, and I think I could talk him into mellowing out if I ran the game. I just inevitably run into that sort of bloodthirsty behavior at the in-person venues. I'll just have to be firm, I just dislike my play to be too much like work. (I'm a mom of a teenager now and training to be a high-school teacher, lol!)
So am I right in assuming that we won't be running this party again until you've returned in March, Shifty? If so, I need to talk Grimmy or someone into coming along with my Beta group. I'm down to 4 people there. =/
| bluedove |
Indeed, they could use a BDF. Big du-ashing fighter! ^_~
Ok then, if he will not be missing Shifty-party, I shall take him! *steals the Grimmy and runs away cackling*

I do need another, but I sort of specifically need someone who can handle traps as this is a dungeon crawl adventure. Maybe someone would want to run a pre-gen?
Edit: Sent a PM to Lloki. Amris would fill our gap nicely and he did ask to be an alternate back in November, so I'll see if he wants to come along. Gamma is running at Tier 3–4, so a 4th level pregen wouldn't be a terrible idea either.
