Design fits subject matter perfectly

I just wanted to say how much I appreciate the graphic design of these Adventure Path volumes. As befits the subject matter, the borders on the inside covers evoke perfectly the design and feel of Russian skazki, with a little bit of a grim Golarion edge. This sort of attention to visual detail and the mythic roots of imaginative gaming are what make Pathfinder the most appealing product in contemporary pen and paper games. Nicely done!

Agreed! I really liked the inside front and back covers. (My all-time favorite work for inside front and back covers though ... still goes to "Legacy of Fire" ... those were AMAZING!) End thread-jack. :)

+1 to the love for the inside covers. "Children's storybook" was the first thing that came to mind when I saw them, and it felt like a perfect fit for Irrisen.

And man the border and trim on this AP is just minty fresh.

Yeah, Sarah Robinson really hit it out of the park again with this one. I really liked the design/art for the interior covers of Legacy of Fire and Jade Regent, but this looks like it will be right up there with them.

The inside covers are the brainchildren of Adam Daigle and Andrew Vallas (with art by Sara Otterstatter and Kate Maximovich of course). Adam had the idea for the "storybook feel" (and specifically requested Sara Otterstatter for an Ivan Bilibin look), while Andrew set it all up and got Kate Maximovich to create those awesome borders.

Just giving credit where credit is due!

I am so happy to see Sara's art in Pathfinder, it fits in perfectly. I can guarantee you, she's putting the maximum effort and enthusiasm into each piece, she's just brilliant with that stuff!
