Ioun Stone Implanted

In PFS what does it take to get an Ioun implanted in your body. I looked in the resource and it didnt say it was illegal.

It gives the ritual to do it in Pathfinder Chronicles: Seekers of Secrets pages 45 and 46. But it is pretty much fast 3 days and a DC 20 Charisma check. Fasting an extra day gives you a +1 on the Charisma check upto a +5 for five extra days. Then an hour of surgery after which a DC 25 Heal check (with a –5 penalty if the owner is the one performing the surgery) and a DC 25 Knowledge(Arcana). Failure 1d6 Constitution. Success it is implanted and you take 1d2 Constitution damage.

I too am curious about this. I think you would need to have the surgical procedure at the end of a session, presumably after fasting for three or more days. Hopefully you would have a cleric, arcanist and a healer's kit available.

Mike said at some point that since there's no cost listed, and an infinite amount of time healing between scenarios, you can assume your stones are implanted if you want. I can't find the reference now, though.

Just a note: If the halfling tells you you can avoid the surgery by using an existing... opening, THAT IS A DAMN LIE.
