Welcome to the Unofficial fansite for the Pathfinder Online Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game!!
This will be your central site for news about Pathfinder Online. It's also a great place to discuss topics with the community, find friends, create groups, and schedule events.
Prior to the release of Pathfinder Online the main objective of the site is to consolidate news about Pathfinder Online, allow groups to form and if they choose to do recruitment and manage their group from the site, and to compile information about the game as we know it.
After release, while still providing the functionality above the site will also take on a new face as a place to find out what is actually going on inside the Pathfinder Online world. We'll have functionality for users to post up stories and schedule events for people to attend. Lots of opportunities for player created content. If we can interface with Pathfinder Online data we'll also be developing useful apps to be used outside of the game.
Additionally, we'll continue to grow and expand to meet the needs of the community of Pathfinder Online players. If there is functionality you would like to see or suggestions you have about the site we are always open to new ideas!

Welcome to the Unofficial fansite for the Pathfinder Online Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game!!Thanks for the invite! I look forward to seeing your site grow as more information is released and it becomes a vital part of the PFO community.
However, I am having DIFFICULTY READING the actual site, as the black background with red letters looks odd and disorienting (like watching a 3D movie while drunk) and I swear the letters keep MOVING around. Any help with a different background theme (I didn’t see any) will be of great help for me and many others.
:)
I am working on a lighter theme as an alternative :)

We've got a few polls up mainly to discuss things like class and race you are mainly planning on playing.
I am going to be adding some polls for Hot Topics as well and wanted to do some crowdforging of my own to see what the community would like to see.
Examples of polls include
Do you want a hunger system, and if so one that applies buffs or debuffs?
Do you want to see more realistic armor or skimpy armor?
Which deities do you want to see first?
etc
If you have a subject you would like to see a poll about post here and include a link to the appropriate topic on the forums here!

@Dak - I registered on the site, but don't remember choosing a username. I deleted the confirmation email of this information before looking at it as assumed I'd log in off the link to confirm the a/c had been registered in the 2nd email. The username retrieval does not seem to work when taking this option. Any help? Thanks.

@George Velez Thanks for the suggestions some of those things I'm looking into. Right now I can allow you to set a second style when you visit the site that is lighter but when you come back you have to set it each time. I'm working on getting a more permanent selection so those that like a lighter style can use that.
As to getting to the chartered companies list yes, currently that is the best way to get to it. For the inactive, no I have to add the most recent additions to the list.
@Akanaaz There is a dev tracked of sorts on the menu called Dev Feeds. I'm going to be upgrading it soon to function more reliably.

We've revamped the wiki, it's now on it's own DB rather than being tied in with the rest of the site. While this means if you want to edit the wiki you'll need an additional account, it gives us more flexibility with some of the functionality we can achieve.
The new wiki:
With the revamp we've added references to all the wiki entries. Now all entries should have a reference to where the info originated from. If you find anything with no references let us know so we can get it up there. We are still expanding the wiki, specifically, adding all the blog entries and linking relevant text to other wiki articles and offsite links where relevant. If you are interested in helping out with the wiki let us know on the forums or by contacting the site admin.
Additionally, we've added a second style that is lighter colored. Currently you have to select this each time you come to the site, it doesn't save your preference. We're working on getting an option where you can select your preferred style.
This can be accessed via the Styles menu button on the main site. As always, we're always open to suggestions so please stop by discuss, and let us know your thoughts!

So I've been lurking on the forums here but I've been wanting to dig into the PFOFan site again. As it stands I'm in the need of assistance.
So I'm looking for one or two individuals to help manage the PFOFan website. There are 3 main areas of the site that I need help with;
1) Forums - We need to continue to enhance and grow the forums. This entails keeping up with posts and starting new discussions.
2) News - This is one of the easier ones, but new news to post about on the main site. I'm hoping I can get some time with the devs at some point as I'll be at both PaizoCon and GenCon.
3) Wiki - I had put a lot of effort into keeping the wiki as up to date as possible. This hasn't seen a whole lot of love for a few months, but I think it is important to keep people informed and the more up to date it is now the less work we'll have to do once launch starts
I also have some additional side projects I would like to work on. I honestly believe that PFOFan.com can be an invaluable resource to the community and I want to see it grow, I just need some help as it is a LOT to manage on my own.
So... if you are interested in helping out building a useful site, enhancing a great community, and getting in on the ground floor of a potentially very valuable resource let me know. Shot me a PM here on the boards and we can discuss further. Even with my busy schedule if I can get some help I am ready to jump back into the site and keep it growing.
