TNC is someone I try to read pretty regularly. I don't always agree with him, but I appreciate his perspective and his ability to convey where he's coming from.

Sadly, he doesn't talk about geek stuff (D&D, comics, etc) that much anymore because he's currently on a U.S. Civil War and (more recently) hard-boiled detective kick. He's got interesting stuff to say on those things, too, but I enjoy reading good writers geeking out occasionally.
