I am currently visiting the small town of Sierra Vista outside of Fort Huachuca, an Army post in Arizona. Venture-Lieutenant Chris Mullican works hard to provide PFS games to the troops and the local community. He has teamed up with the local FLGS to increase the availability of gaming goodness. By donating to the Project Satellite fundraiser on Indiegogo for the FLGS, Orbital Games, you can earn more in gift certificates than you donated. The gift certificates can be redeemed even if you are not nearby. Or donate your gift certificates to the local PFS for the purchase of gaming aids for the Society. When you get to Step 4 of the donation process, enter Pathfinder Society into the box.
Local PFS play
Venture-Lieutenant Chris Mullican coordinates games both on the Fort and in the local community. The games on post are a great way for the Soldiers, who may be unable to leave the Fort, to get game time in. During training soldiers are unable to leave the Fort and he ensures they get the chance to play weekly. Plus face it, Privates are poor and they may not have the means to get to the off post FLGS or buy the nifty game aids Paizo makes.
Orbital Games
A local FLGS with both a store off post and a small booth set-up by the barracks. They are being forced by the evil corporation Enterprise Rent-A-Car to move to a smaller location. Orbital Games is looking to buy a trailer to increase their square footage to ensure the soldiers on post have a large selection.
In Fred's (of Orbital Games) words:
Pitch in if you can, but even if you can’t, spread the word on Facebook and Twitter, as well as tell your friends, family, and fellow gamers. Help us share the joys of gaming with those who do a tough and dangerous job and support your friendly local game store. Thank you all for the sharing in this wonderful adventure we look forward to sharing many more.
- Thanks for your time!

WOW! Thanks for posting this man. It is really appreciated. As Thomas indicated above we are trying to raise money for our local FLGS.
A little bit of background on the store and our local community. Our town has a population of ~50k people including the base. For about 8 years, since the only local FLGS closed, we have had no game stores here. We have a local comic book store that stocks Magic: The Gathering and other card games, and really nothing else in the way of RPG's and Tabletop games and was unwilling to order things. Then in November 2011 Fred opened up Orbital Games. The response from the local gaming community was outstanding. Starting out with only a tiny bit of stock, but the desire to order anything gaming related he quickly grew his business to the point of being able to expand to the local base to help local soldiers, who are unable to leave the base due to training restrictions placed on them.
In March of this year I approached Fred about organizing PFS play at the shop. Thinking that I would only get 1 table a week, PFS exploded and quickly grew from 1 table every other week to 2-3 tables each week. With the success of PFS there we quickly had thoughts of expanding society on base to help the soldiers who are unable to leave. Starting with 1 table again, we have grown to 2 tables each week. With the rotating nature of soldiers having 10-12 players each week is quite good.
As Thomas indicated above they are being forced out of their current location in to a tiny booth that is currently 1/4 the size of the space they have, so they will have to drastically cut their stock down thus being able to offer less to soldiers there.
We plan on using any gift certificates donated to PFS to help buy flip mats and other materials used to help GM's that run games for local soldiers and people at the local FLGS.
