Sandpoint Citizen List

Rise of the Runelords

17 people marked this as a favorite.

I made a google spreadsheet of all the named NPCs in Sandpoint (plus a couple of extras, such as from Wayfinder #7). Comments and suggestions appreciated!

Sandpoint Resident List

That's nice Tanis even if there were already something similar around but character's age can be an useful add on. I really would like to see added a short description of major NPCs and, ideally, something special used to identify the different characters...

I hadn't seen a similar list - if one exists, please point me to it!

As far as the ages go; most of them I eyeballed. The only one that's nailed down for sure is Ameiko. If anyone's age looks wrong, let me know.

I have split the names into two cells, so the list is now organized by last name (and all family members now have their own rows as well). I'll see about adding descriptions and identifiers.

Very cool and helpful. Though one, not a critic more suggestion. Listing where they are from might be helpful. Since you mention some are from Wayfinder 7, might save some people time if they want to reference to see what is written about them.

Isn't Jesk a half-orc?

Thanis, the ones from cannon sources could also be crosschecked against the wiki as well.

*nod* Source is a good idea. It's just Jodar Provalost, but he's sourced now. Jalms Biggis, Daigle Wedger, and Landen Hemlock are my own creations; the idea of Belor having a son is from a comment made on the Paizo blog regarding a Burnt Offerings play that had been done by a badass drama class.

You'd think that, wouldn't you? A closer inspection reveals that (at least in the 3.5 version), Jesk is a human half-orc expert; that is, a human who is an expert in all things half-orc! In all seriousness, the half-orc part was a typo, which has been fixed in the PFRPG version.

I'll check out what the wiki has to say as well.

MIND. BLOWN.

WOW you improved it a lot thanks... A last thing I would like to see added is the list of places where you can find the NPCs. You could use Sandpoint map reference numbers for that. The first number should be the most probable (home, personal shop...) the following ones where they are used to go (tavern, friends....)

However good work, I'll use that.

Perfect. Locations have been added thanks... Or perhaps they were already there and I didn't notice those???

Quick question on the Deverins: does Vana have any children?

Whoah!

Hehe.

Cool.

Re: Cracktooth...

There is an obvious typo in Jesk "Cracktooth" Berinni' write-up in the original 3.5 version. He's listed there as "human male half-orc expert 3".

With his nickname, and description that he looks "like a thug," I had assumed that the typo was the "human" part, so I made him a half-orc in my game.

I was very surprised to see him listed as human in the Anniversary Edition.

Cracktooth is still a half-orc in my game. He's pretty much the opposite to Sandpoint's other half-orc (the junker Gorvi, whom Jesk detests). He's urbane, witty, and gregarious. Most people forget he's a half-orc after ten minutes of conversation.

In my game, Jesk is married to a Varisian woman named Anna, and they have a son Ben "Tusk" Berinni. Tusk is part of the town guard.

Haladir, I like your version. I think I'll use it, if you don't mind?

Anything I post on the boards is fair game to steal or modify as you see fit. Heck, I steal ideas from these boards regularly!

Thanis thanks again for your list, it's very useful indeed.

Could you also add the info Jacen drop in this other wonderful post Roleplaying-the-NPCs?

Also I think you could add Shalelu... she is not a regular of Sandpoint but I think we could consider she so.

I'll take a look at it when I get off of work!

How were the ages of these folk derived? Ameiko's age seems a bit young to have done everything she's done so far, and I would have thought Lonjiku would have been a bit older than 36, late 40's, at least. Still, it's a very handy resource, and one I think I'll be stealing and modifying for my own uses!

Sczarni

Her wiki page Born 4689 AR. This year is 4713 so as of today, she would be 24. At the time of jade regent, she would be 23.(Rise of the runelords was in 4708, so she'd be 18-19)

Well, alright then. That page also spelled out the length of her adventuring career - I thought she'd adventured for a few years before getting out of the game. One year shortens things considerably, and makes her youth much more plausible.

Liberty's Edge

Stealing this and adding my own addition: page references and the map key numbers so I also know where in the book they are, and which building.

I'm also doing a second sheet with local businesses. So when the PCs ask "I'mma gonna go buy a new sword and a potion of healing" I can just pull up the list of businesses.

Thank you very much Thanis! This will prove very useful when I start my ROTRL campaign very soon.

Much appreciated.

Liberty's Edge

This makes me wonder, has anyone ever done a graphic/visual family tree map of Sandpoint, who's connected to whom and so on?

Did you make the age assumption or do you have a source somewhere?

This is so useful, has anyone added a column for their relevance to the plot? People like Belor obviously have a lot.

Also you don't have the halfling who works for Ameiko and tells the party about her running off at night.

Thanks a lot, this is a very useful spread sheet! :D

Just starting a run through of RotRL, this list is extremely useful for being able to have a native character name drop the correct people. Muchos gracias!

Very nice, looking over that reminded me to use Jodar again.

It'd be a good way for me to keep track of the support cast that just have to have a name, or people I've swiped from NPCs you've added to the AP thread.

I have to say, I'm with the people who make Jesk a Half-Orc, his nickname is "Cracktooth" after all.

Currently in the process of getting artwork done for all the Sandpoint NPC's
Of the ones we've had drawn up so far, Livell is an addition from our campaign & Jodar Provalost is handsome and charming, but other than that all pretty much drawn as per descriptions
