Anyone ever made Batman for Pathfinder?

So I recently saw a thread about Sherlock Holmes and got to thinking what other characters would be cool for a pathfinder campaign. Who better than the Dark Knight?!

So I feel he would be similar in some veins to the Holmes character but not sure how he should differ other than the lack of drug use, I feel he should have levels Wizard for the versatility of Spells, Investigative Rogue for all the skill points and knowledge of anatomy for Sneak Attack, Fighter or Paladin for Heavy Armor proficiency (probably Paladin for divine spells), and Detective Bard for the knowledge skills, and at least improved unarmed strike for fighting.

But I feel this requires too many levels to be efficient, so any ideas?

Check amongst the conversions threads, there are several! :)

Several with LOTS AND LOTS of thoughts on the matter.

Batman is an alchemist ;)

Shadow Lodge

Bat(Sha)man. Echolocation, summoning, flight and other bat-related shenanigans. Built to do "the batman" to every police commissioner and city guard chief the world over.

That's all.

dude it has been something i have been working on. I was thinking a druid who only uses a bat form. With some levels in alchemist just to have the tech thing under wraps.

alchemists have beast shape on their extract list if you want to be a Bat no need to dip into druid ;), alchemists can even get proper Ex wings as a discovery

Well, he doesn't have wings, he just has gadgets...

I am playing him now.

3 Paladin/2 Fighter (Unbreakable)/10 Shadow Dancer

You are combative, stealth, tough, and a bit skilled. Your shadow dance ability makes for great mobility; with the shadow illusion and evocations make for great replacements for the utility belt.

That's pretty good. Not sure about the LG part, but otherwise cool.

How would you stat Batman in Pathfinder? (if you bothered)

HA!

He'd be a human rogue. He'd be 20th level. He'd be Chaotic Good. He'd have PC gear. He'd have the highest legal point buy. And then I'd put the advanced template on him.

Other topics here and I suggest Gestalt

Dark Archive

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Batman is a Gestalt Ninja/Monk or a Rogue/Urban Ranger.

I would figure he would be a Ninja with a ton of UMD.

Batman is an Inqusitor with massive levels of intimidate and has the Truth Inqusition domain...

Grasp of Honesty (Su): At 8th level, any creature you are grappling or pinning is affected by ZONE OF TRUTH(Will negates). Outside of combat, you may use this ability by touching a target with both hands. You can use this ability a number of rounds per day equal to your inquisitor level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive. The effect ends if you stop grappling, pinning, or touching the target.

monk-rogue, for the old adam west batman. Holy maloney!

If you could get a illusion so that every time you punch someone the bubble with a sound effect appears that would be great. Roll a successful attack punch him in the face a yellow "POW!" appears when you make contact.

The Red Raven of Galt is pretty much Golarion's Batman.

-World's greatest detective - L20 Rogue (Investigator)

-One of the world's best hand-to-hand combatants/martial artists - somewhere between L16-19 Monk (Martial Artist) (with Karate Kid from the Legion being a L20 martial artist).

-Brilliant inventor and scientist - I've seen the case made for alchemist or wizard, but I would say for Pathfinder, he is a L20 Ranger (Trapper/Urban) with the the Master Craftsman and Craft Wondrous Items feats. This gives him the versatility of having as many of the ranger traps as possible, which he can pull out of his utility belt, as well as some custom wondrous items he could make.

I am play-testing a Shadowdancer archetype (Shadow Knight) with that build, which makes it even better for the idea.

Monk 8/Rogue6/Fighter6
Str 15, Dex 18, Con 14, Int 16, Wis 16, Cha 12
Rogue for skill points and disable device, monk for fighting skill, fighter for the feats and weapon specialization unarmed.

Being the greatest detective he needs high intelligence and wisdom, but is also knowledgeable, so give him 5 ranks in all knowledge skills and play on synergy bonuses. While keeping skills like perception and sense motive high.

Low charisma because as a perceived playboy he's not popular couple of ranks in bluff will do. Batman isn't liked, he's feared or respected depending on which side of the law your talking about. High intimidate and some diplomacy, he's not known for negotiating. Again play off synergy bonuses.

Magic items can account for the gear but you could also give him a couple of books to increase any stats you're not happy with, he does train hard to be good all around but remember he's not supposed to be the best at everything. Nightwings a better acrobat, mr miracle a better escape artist, green arrow a better archer etc.

All That is missing is Mock Armor from Ultimate Equipment.
