Cover Question

Paizo General Discussion

Hi...I'm a Pathfinder fledgling but a fervent fan! I'm more of a collector/reader at the moment, not playing at all, but have left the other versions of the game behind like a corpse. As a matter of fact, I'm re-entering D&D after ages away and just enjoying immersing myself into the Inner Sea World. So, please forgive me if my first question is basic and silly.

Why is the cover page for some products different on Paizo vs. Amazon? Is the content different? Is it just different printings/editions?

For example, Pathfinder Adventure Path #55: The Wormwood Mutiny

See Paizo's Wormwood Mutiny cover:

http://paizo.com/products/btpy8rcc?Pathfinder-Adventure-Path-55-The-Wormwoo d-Mutiny

See Amazon's Wormwood Mutiny:

http://www.amazon.com/Pathfinder-Adventure-Path-Shackles-Wormwood/dp/160125 4040/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=8NB95V9TDVAM&coliid=I60O QKHVZ7FRA

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Probably because Amazon doesn't always update their covers when Paizo transitiosn from a mockup cover using recycled art to the real thing.

Paizo puts up mock-ups for the covers for products that are announced, but don't yet have proper cover art. While Paizo.com is updated when the new images come out, it appears Amazon isn't. So the image on Amazon is just the old mock-up, while the Paizo image is the actual cover of the product.

Ah, okay...thanks! So it will be all the same once it gets in my eager little hands. Good to know.
