Scarab Sages

OK..I am starting this chapter next week. I have been pathfinderizing the campaign. I noticed as the chapters move on, alot of the cool stuff on the RPGenius site has been dwindling.

Anyone who has run the party at the House Rhiavadi, can you recount how you handled it? Seems like it could be difficult to get the PC's to listen to Thirafane's speech. And, did you have the party encounter the NPC's en masse, or perhaps individually or in small groups? I'd love any kind of advice.

Oh, and the major players (the Jester, Lady T etc...) did you allow them to escape to the Fiery Sanctum, or did your players whack them here?

Thanks,
patrick

Depends on your group. Are your players more likely to shoot first & ask later, or are they more likely to interact.

Believe it or not, the more interactive party may plan out a great separate and destroy operation (plan for multiple encounters). Allowing them to escape to the fiery sanctum has some serious benefits too (memorable encounter-wise), but that's just me.

Not sure if we are going to make it to the party tonight..have to finish Soul Pillars and then the LL safe house...I patfinderized most bad guys and put more "mooks" in to give it a more secure feel...we'll see what they come up with...Thanks.

I would like to see the ninja and teifling rogue, disguise and bluff their way in, but we shall see...

I'm rooting for you :) Let us know how it goes!

Scarab Sages

Well, They walked through the Brass Trumpet in 15 rounds. As a twist, since they are in tight with the Stormblades, I made Annah Taskerhill the captive instead of the 1/2 Elf...a little back story. When they found Todds body in the WJ temple, the Pally had him raised and told him that his debt would be to keep an eye on strange goings on in tow, So Todd came to them and told them that Annah got caught spying of House Rhiviadi. Cut to the end, Jil slit her throat and the Pally did something unexpected...Paladin Sacrifice...basically he died to save her, then the Archer and Fighter ripped Jil up in half a round...Now they found out all these evil Mercs and bounty hunters are gathering at House R, and they want to know why..i'm gonna let it leak, Blazing Saddles style, that Lady R is calling for the meanest, baddest dudes in the area to take out the party...

Can't wait for next weeks fun!!!
